2024-2025 Timberwolves Mega Preview: Part 1
We are back for our second year as a post-game podcast and wanted to do a quick reintroduction to the subreddit.
Who is Dunks After Dusk?
A podcast started by two lifelong friends and Wolves fans. For years, we used to play Rocket League after games and talk all things about what happened on the court that night. We had so much fun doing that that it slowly transitioned into the idea of taking these conversations and making something for other Wolves fans. As I got involved with some Timberwolves writing, I was already watching/covering the team more closely and it became a perfect avenue for us to hang out and talk about our favorite team.
Why should I listen to Dunks After Dusk?
Where we try to standout and be unique for other Wolves podcasts (there are some great ones out there!) is in the immediate reactionary elements to a game. Whether you watched the game or had to miss it, our "shot clock reaction" (24 second recap), game awards, and emptying the notebook are designed to give someone a quick snapshot of the game in an easily digestible format that should appear on your podcast feed about an hour after the game ends.
Will year two be a lot like last year?
Hopefully better! All of this was completely new to us when we started things last summer (I learned how to create and edit audio files for a podcast through youtube vidoes on the fly) and we just happened to be incredibly lucky that we stumbled into the second best season in franchise history. We feel like we have a better sense of what we do (and don't) do well and what listeners enjoyed about last season.

Our goal this season is for each game recap episode to settle around the 30 minute mark – hopefully the perfect amount for a morning commute, afternoon jog, or some unthreatening voices to fall asleep to.

Your pod is legitimately good nba content regardless of team affiliation. You two have great chemistry even though you frequently disagree (rare), the production is crisp, and (most) of your takes are grounded and backed by stats or personal experience. I always look forward to seeing you pop up in my feed and have you set to auto download.
Also – you once played a pivotal role in me not being arrested by a Charlotte police officer due to your speedy uploading of that nights gamer pod. Long story but you definitely got the KG award that night from me.
