  1. Jalen is like having a borderline girlfriend. The ups of the relation is so good that we endure the extreme downs hoping our partner will heal and everything will be good again.

  2. Amen and Reed will fulfill the role of ballhandler but they need experience.
I think Reed will be our Stockton.

  3. I think for a first PS game, and as you say without FVV, a lack of cohesion is to be expected. Totally get the concern as that was an issue last year, so it’s worth keeping an eye on, but I wasn’t surprised it didn’t click and that would degenerate to isos.

But I love the way you communicate basketball, man.

  4. Man i love Tari, but he needs to stop trying to run the offense. And why the hell are Holiday and Tate getting more looks than Cam and Reed in that last group?

  5. And the offense looked disjointed without Fred. I hope they clean it up. If Fred's not there, run through Sengun or Jalen with Amen being the ball handler.

I do think they need to get more plays for Jabari.

  6. Missing FVV was the issue too but lack of improvement in Jalen’s leadership to lead when team is in a bind was worrisome. Sengun tried and wiggle his way in forcing free throws but Jalen just got shot down by SGA. Honestly it’s gonna be hard for Jalen to earn that max contract when he can’t even out perform J Dub or Chet

  7. They played selfish because thunders defense was that good. They were playing aggressive not allowing passing lanes. All Thunder starters had 2 and 3 fouls in the limited time they played. Unlikely they could play that aggressive the whole game and not be in foul trouble. Having the game tied at 40 is a win in my eyes.

  8. The dribble drive has to take a backseat. They fall into that specific approach too much. There going to have to emphasize on improving on their support game.

  9. A lot of the issues that Frank pointed about "immaturity" and "guys being selfish" at the start of the video is because of Alpi not getting paid even when he is clearly the best player. Get ready for chucking, not passing, unmotivated to move without the ball from the more immature guys of the team like Jalen throughout the season.

This "cap hold" excuse to not pay your by far best player and arguably the best player in his class when multiple guys in his class have already been paid the rookie max will cause even more problems in the future. Not comparable to Maxey as he was not even close to being the best on his team and would never have ego since he had Embiid on the team, an establised MVP.

Jalen on the other hand will keep pouting, throwing his arms up and not being motivated to play in the system and accept Alpi is the best player since they are both young and the franchise does not set the hierarchy by paying the guy who deserved it the most.

  10. From what we’ve seen, letting Reed run the offense and make decisions needs to be a priority when he’s on the court. It doesn’t matter who’s feelings get hurt.

  11. With all of the potential they have I think jabari and amen are holding back our team . And it is a pain to say because I love these players . Not gonna go too deep because this is preseason but I think amen has the biggest wholes in his game on the team & Jabari lacks the confidence to take over a game like we need him too . We need Jabari mad like a KG. With all these roles and all this young talent I do think somebody might be heading out after this season or at the trade deadline .

  12. Yall do understand this is preseason they gotta work out the kinks and shake the rust off. Overreacting to early about bs preseason

  13. Not having a real play maker on the court really exposes the team's weaknesses. Even the Thunder's second unit seemed more cohesive than the Rockets' starting five.

  14. I would like to see them run a Princeton offense with Sengun working in the high post with the wings cutting back door and having more movement in the offense putting more pressure on the defense having all 5 guys more engaged in the offense. We have the players to do it.

  15. I liked the game. The defenses were so good, thus the sloppy play in the first half. I liked that Alpi took it right to Chet. Reed looked good as point guard in the second half. I'm guessing Ime is trying to install a few new wrinkles in the offense. When the regular season starts I expect them to go through Alpi more often. If they want Jalen to shoot better, they might want to take ball handling from him and teach him the spot up to get passes for shots. I don't know why Udoka or Silas can figure out how to use Jalen's skill set. He's a shooting guard. Just let him shoot. Keep it simple for him. I know Amen can play better at point guard. He had a triple double at the end of last season against the Clippers. Asking him to play different positions is not going to help him to achieve his ceiling at point guard. But you have Reed, so it doesn't matter.
