I don’t why it’s just Karalis’ face but it’s about Mazzulla saying he’s spoken to Al who is open to coming off the bench even when KP is out. Personally, I am a big fan of this. I don’t need to see Al with the starters, we know what he can do. Obviously just because someone starts it doesn’t mean they need to play a lot of minutes but I feel it can start to lean that way more quickly.
Tillman, Kornet and a sprinkle of queta is plenty good for some early reg season games and even give the starters a chance to get some chemistry with non Al/KP bigs which could prove crucial.
There is the added bonus of a mostly non changing starting lineup (if course when KP is back he’ll be inserted in). We know Al wont play back to backs, wouldn’t surprise me to see they have specific games throughout the season he sits too for added rest.
So what do people think? Keep Al as a bench guy or start him while KP works his way back?

What’s best for the team is a healthy Al in May because we’re fucked without him

Keep Al off the bench
This team has no ego and it allows Queta and Tillman to get better chemistry with the starters

I like the little dance he does before jump balls, but its probably for the best that he comes off the bench

I know there’s a lot of kornet love here but I’d lose my shit if they start kornet, he junks up the spacing and when he can’t rim run he’s just in the way.
Tillman is my favorite reserve big because he’s a Swiss Army knife but his rim protection is certainly lackluster (just lack of size)
Expect mazzula to run a bunch of different lineups based on matchups but we need KP and Al healthy and fresh in the postseason, that’s about it, however we get there

Kinda unrelated, but I hope Horford becomes an assistant coach for Mazzulla a few years after retiring.

Start Kornet and unleash his 3pt shot. Love Al for his attitude.

I don’t know why people are so big on Queta. Has barely played and his 25. Not like he is going to take some big step foward
