Send the refs, Dinwiddie and Omax straight to the G-league
It’s only preseason but the refs are already in midseason form goddamn
Give Gortman all of Dinwiddie’s minutes
5 point game where we’re missing Luka and we played our starters a fair bit less than they did cool beans.
Ngl Omax looked kinda bad :-/
Gafford looked like a man on a mission out there. Crazy to have both him and Lively!
Spencer does not look like the same guy that left here, he’s diminished a good amount. I don’t see a reason to keep him but not a guy like Gortman
all i have to say is that the jazz broadcast is fucking TRAGIC wow
I think it’s been long enough, Omax should be traded.
– Gortman needs to get a two-way spot
– Spencer should be waived
That is all
Jazz almost sold against our 3rd string with all their players playing! Let’s goo!!
Jazz played like this was their championship
Mavs started 0-2 in the pre season last year and went to th3 finals. Everything is going according to the plan.
I for one welcome our new Sharp overlord.
Our coaching staff looked like a bunch of chemist who got their hypothesis correct.
The 2nd/3rd stringers cut a 20-pt lead all the way down to 5. I think they started playing a little too fast, but they wanted it.
1. Klay scores in bunches quickly.
2. Gafford was a beast out there..
3. Gortman has something, so does Sharp.
Those refs were fucking insane lmao
Liking Omax development so far. Not liking Hardy’s. Gortman is a baller. Klay was WAY more active than I thought he was gonna be
Any other like game plan analysis stuff literally doesn’t matter because once Luka plays it’s going to be completely different
How likely do you guys think is it that Gortman gets that two way spot? Hopefully Nico sees what we’re seeing!
I am actually elated.
Without Luka or PJ and with all our starters playing less than 20 mins we gave this Jazz Team (where most of their starters played 30 odd minutes) a run for their money.
But man I really wish they won. Haven’t seen Mavs wina game in quite some time now.
I lowkey hate playing the Jazz. Feels like they always jump out to a double digit lead on us because of fucking Clarkson and Markannen.
Spence was not good. I’m not worried because we need him to run offense against backups not starters, but I felt like he played a bit too slow in the half court and we were always finding a shot way too late in the clock. We got better players now; he has to adjust and move the ball along.
I like Gortmans game. I’d probably see if I could get Brandon Williams to play for the Legends and give his 2 way spot to Gortman. My last spot goes to Sharp. I like his game, and he’s a menace around the rim. Guys like testing dudes his height and he seems to time his jump pretty well.
Felt like Lively was pressing a bit in his minutes, at least defensively. Leaving his feet a bit too early got him to pick up a bunch of quick fouls. Gaff was good though.
Klay was a mixed bag. Seems like he was working thru his nerves in the 1st, but he seemed to play a bit more loose after he got his first shot to fall. Defensively, guys can obviously get around him but I actually felt like he was good on Lauri.
Like a lot about Najis game, couldn’t always get the shot to fall, but I thought he did a pretty decent job outside of forcing some tight passes.
I wish Josh had half of QGs confidence. Release so quick and shot looks good. Hopefully he finds his stroke from deep. Depending on how his playmaking comes along, I wonder if he could eat into Spence/Dante minutes.
Omax still struggles against better competition, but he looked pretty good once they finally played their end of bench guys. He looks much better on defense and he’s slowed down. It’s preseason but he looks so much better than he did in summer league.
What I learned from today’s game is that I miss Luka and competitive basketball. Also
Gortman sucks
Omax can’t dribble
Dinwiddie is washed
Klay is underrated on defense
Grimes needs to get his shot right
I see the potential tho but honestly I was disappointed. I saw way too many missed open jumpshots.
We will be fine tho it was very encouraging watching Trey Uno tonight after missing his 1st few shot attempts
Downvote me to hell tho guys I know it’s coming😂
Dinwiddie should have what THJ leash should’ve been: if he’s hot let him roll, if he’s not, garbage time only.
Hardy deserves minutes and REAL playtime because you’re going to need him throughout the season. Sure he’s undersized but he’s young and hustles on defense.
Jazz commentators and refs were nails on chalkboard tonight
Spencer is cooked. There is no way he makes more sense here than Fultz or DSJ
I know we make a lot of GOATman jokes, but man, that kid can really play. He looks like a seasoned vet. Kinda reminds me of Dennis Schroeder.
And can just appreciate for a second that our starting C from the WCF run a few years ago is now playing garbage time in a preseason game? Talk about upgrades.
I still need to get used to seeing Klay in a Mavs jersey tbh
