They swung for the fences in a draft that had a lot to be desired. Worked in 2013.
I never bought the whole, why didn’t they draft a win now guy.
It’s because if there was one, they wouldn’t be down that far in that draft.

I was initially confused with the pick, but looking into it more he probably has the highest upside in the draft for a guard. He is the quickest guard in the draft, quick/smooth release, one of the youngest, has the physical tools (height/wingspan wise he’s bigger/similar than guys like Booker, Holiday, White, Edwards etc so he has the frame) and people suggest that if he entered the draft NEXT SEASON he would’ve, on average, been placed higher on the draft boards.
