This is coming out on top of reports that indicate NY was attempting to land Valanciunas in free agency. I think KAT is fine starting at the 5 till January and I have a feeling Sims will step up this year as a back up. Let’s not forget Mitch was top three in defensive player of the year conversation before his injuries last season.

The Knicks need to keep Mitch. He’s the only center who’s proven to be able to matchup against other bigs. He’s a championship type center who only got injured because he was the Knicks defensive anchor before there was an OG anunoby.

I’m conflicted on dealing Mitch. I feel he is the Center we need as a defender to get us a ring. When he’s on the court he’s a solid player only problem he’s barely on the court.

Valanciunas is the perfect back up center for whom the Knicks should be trade , if they trade Mitchell Robinson .
He is an experienced center & would open opens up the floor as well as Towns .

Valanciunas is available to be traded in December 2024 . He signed a 3 year 30million contract with the Wizards this year .

Wow…I figured Mitchell Robinson was going to return in December. It's too bad. He can really defend. Well, if the team is trading Mitch, why don't they go for: Clint Capela, Wendell Carter, Jakob Poeltl or Nic Claxton?
I'm rocking with Mitch. If he's ready to go in January I believe he'll be here and be that piece that helps us win a chip this year! Defensively he leaps and bounds above Valanciunas. Val shoots lights above Mitch. Either way we'd be good. I just want Mitch. I think Mitch would be great next to KAT. I'd rather have Duran over Valanciunas
