Let’s OVERREACT to the NBA Preseason…

Let’s OVERREACT to the NBA Preseason…

NBA preseason hoops have just begun and there is a lot to talk about through the first few days. Bam Adebayo and Evan Mobley seem poised for career years with the Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers. The Houston Rockets feel poised for a breakout behind Amen Thompson, Jalen Green, Alperen Sengun, and others. LaMelo Ball, Brandon Miller and the Hornets feel like they can really make noise as well as the Scottie Barnes and RJ Barrett led Toronto Raptors. The Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers are showing some good signs. The Oklahoma City Thunder got amazing debuts from Isaiah Hartenstein, Alex Caruso, Dillon Jones, and Ajay Mitchell and seem poised for a dominant season. Jaden Ivey feels like he can be a Most Improved Player candidate. All in all, it’s been a fun return to NBA hoops, one that is deserving of some overreactions. So, let’s talk about it.

  1. This amen Thompson hype needs to stop amen Thompson great defender and very athletic but can’t dribble pass or shoot no way in hell he’s a franchise guy or a starter over reed or van fleet not as no point guard and I’m a rockets fan bro gone have to a huge leap

  2. I'm with you on the Hornets. The big thing for me is that they finally have a good front office. I've loved everything they've done for the last year. They've done a great job getting picks and interesting young players in trades. They've completely revamped the medical staff and have Lamelo wearing ankle braces now. I love the Charles Lee hire. Even if it doesn't work out, it's exactly the kind of hire a team at this stage should be making.

This team has some nice pieces. And they fit together. They just need them to be available and on the court.

  3. No Zion talk? Feel like his performance the other night was one of the stories of the preseason so far. If he's All-NBA Zion, that could radically changes their ceiling.

  4. So if we talkin bout overreacting the preseason games the wolves were the most impressive. our 4th string was holding their own against the 2nd string bench for the lakers. The wolves roster is insanely deep

  5. I hope that the raptors are competitive but don't perform in the clutch. I want to be in the cooper flagg sweepstakes with a top 5 pick. If we make the playin this year, we will be nothing but mid and a second round exit for the next 4 years. I'd rather win 30 games this year, get a high draft pick, then give our rookie a year or two to develop before we compete for a chip.

  6. How can you say the Suns starting lineup lacks shooting?? Like, ya i'm with you on the defensive end, but Beal, Tyus, KD all shot at or over 40% from 3 last year, with Booker having the lowest 3pt% last year at 36%. Did you just not look up stats at all for this? Love you vids cone, you're better than that!

  7. Suns starting lineup is so good, they need to keep those 5. They will win 60+ games and be a top 1-3 seed

  8. Preseason helps determine which bench players to keep or trade. Don't sleep on the Spurs. With VW-CP3-Castle-Sochan-Vassell, the Spurs will beat OKC and Mavs and Rockets in head-2-head series this year. 45+ wins and a play-in. They will have 2, maybe 3, lottery picks in a DEEP draft in 2025.

  9. I don't know if this is a hot take or not but I don't think any of the western conference teams will win 60 games. All of those teams out west in like the top 6 are so talented that none of them will win that much since they all have to compete with each other. I think we're going to have an even closer race for the 1 seed in the West than we did last year simply because there are so many amazingly talented teams out there. I will say that if a team does prove me wrong it'll be the Thunder for sure
