Don’t know what else he has played and your definition of overall athlete. Would be hard to beat Danny Ainge. First-team All-American in football, basketball, and baseball, Played for the Blue Jays before the Celtics – that’s an overall athlete.
Edit – only 13 have played in both the MLB and NBA: Chuck Conners(also a Celtic), Danny Ainge, Frank Baumholtz, Hank Biasatti, Gene Conley, Dave DeBusschere, Dick Groat, Steve Hamilton, Mark Hendrickson, Cotton Nash, Ron Reed, Dick Ricketts, and Howie Schultz
