Extremely competitive game against the defending champs!
was hoping Chomche would get more than 1 min of run in the 4th, I suffered through a lot to get to that point 😭
They had Celtics bench players looking like all stars nice to see Raptors make it competitive until the end
Gradey didn’t have the best shooting night but he was still putting up shots (5 3p made)
I’ve really liked Shead he’s like a mini Lowry
What I’ll take from this game: Gradey 5 for 10 from 3
The 2nd half showed a ton of heart.
A lot of people probably will discredit it due to the fact that it was against 3rd stringers, but it’s WAY better than just hanging their head low and giving up in a preseason game. I really loved how hard they fought to bring it back.
– Gradey finally woke up at the 3rd Q
– Ochai really started to be a hard-nose defender and distribute the ball. I hope he develops a 3.
– Scottie looked really upset he wasn’t getting the ball but he was getting cooked in his isos. He started doing more with less and it paid off before he sat for the night.
– Mogbo finally showed his flashes of potential!
– Shead didn’t give up one bit and finally got the 3 he wanted.
– I like Battle a lot. Not sure if he’ll ever crack a rotation but he deserves a few more looks.
– I’ma just say it: Cut Ramsey lol
If you’re concerned about Scottie’s performance go look around the league at how other stars played in preseason. Demar, fox, butler, etc these guys don’t give af about preseason
In a team so bereft of shooting, maybe Battle deserves a chance. Seems like a reliable 3pt shooter, fast release and can make them contested.
Lmao after all that we only lost by 4
This raptors roster is unrecognizable lol wtf are all these new names
The number one thing a lot of you guys are going to have to learn this year is patience lol what an insane preseason game thread
I get Scottie is rusty as hell but man…he’s looked bad.
At least the game wasn’t a blow out LOL. I’m happy the team didn’t roll over during the second half.
If the team is going to lose, I rather they lose in competitive/close games most of the time. The team shouldn’t get used to losing, not playing hard and developing bad habits! Also, an opposing team shouldn’t think playing against the Raps is an easy win.
Like, they probably will be easy wins LOL. But I want this team to give the opposing team a “they almost had us in the 1st half” moment at least. 😂
Barnes -27 is nasty work
Today I learned that Boston’s B squad is better than our B squad, but the Rap’s scrubs are better than Boston’s scrubs
Watching Shead, Ramsey, Mogbo, Boucher and Fernando battling out there was great. But seeing them make their free throws was even better.
They finally got some chemistry going in the second half
Scooter is looking bad out there. Every time he was off the floor the rest of the guys would start to play a little bit better. If I’m being honest…it’s not looking good.
We came back because they stopped running and started practicing half-court set plays. Throw this one in the trash and forget about it.
Something I have really been surprised so far in the pre-season is the noticable improvement in Jakop Poetle. This guy was DUNKING!!! Usually he just does lay ups or half-assed floater attempts without jumping. The past few games he has played amazingly and with a lot more energy than usual.
Are you really a Raptors fan though if you aren’t shocked to see a 7″0 man actually dunk.
I’m gonna say it again… fate of the universe? I WANT NEEMIAS QUETA
I’m all in for the tank this year, so can’t say I’m disappointed.
