[MontePoole] Though there was muted speculation that Buddy Hield was a candidate to start for Warriors, coach Steve Kerr makes it apparent Buddy will be 6th man. Wants him on the floor when Stephen Curry is off. De’Anthony Melton appears to have the inside track as starting SG

Makes sense
Melton gives us everything we would want from GP2/BP/Moody without any obvious weaknesses. He does a bit of everything. That defense is legit.
We need BP to run the bench, and Buddy/Moody will lead that unit in scoring. We could see Moody get some opportunity as the primary defender for that unit as well. GP2 will pick up where Moody falls off.
I wonder what a lineup of Steph, Wiggs, JK, Dray, Looney/TJD would look like. IF JK’s 3-ball is legit, it could work and give the warriors a menacing 2-4 defensive trio that can switch across all 5 (maybe 4?) positions. I guess it would also depend on if Wiggs can regain his shooting touch, although it did look decent to close last season.
Yea buddy should play all the non Steph minutes, idk about much more than that
Moody> Melton
Isn’t Hield a very poor defender? Makes sense to have him come off the bench for Curry.
Ahh, yes. Don’t utilize Steph’s gravity at all for one of the best shooters in the league. Good. Good.
Buddy is so horrendous a defense, it never was going to be realistic to play him with Curry.
I kinda wanna see Buddy on the floor with Steph, he’ll get more open looks than he ever has in his career.
that’s one way to keep his minutes down
I’d like to see Steph, Melton, Wiggs, JK and Dray start. Next team: Buddy, BP, Moody, Kyle and TJD. Opportunistic subs: GP2, Waters, Looney. Bench: Post, Santos.
