BACK ON MY ZEKE NNAJI SHIT

Saw on the Sons broadcast both of the Sons rookies went up to hug Joki post game that was pretty cute lol

Last Nuggets win , Game 5 R2.
Zeke looks nice, Saric also nice, Russ very nice, Jokic GOAT, Straw looks like MIP, Braun ok, MPJ Allstar, AG solid,
Only negative = Jamal 🙁 🙁
OK I didn’t expect to see Jamal has worse statline than Russ
Bol got his revenge
I don’t want to see hunter tyson on the court ever again
I will see you guys next season, on account of this one being Nikolaover.
They may never win again 😔
That Monte x Bol x Plumdog collab might never lose
My favorite part of the game thread was the person who made like five separate comments about how much they hated AGs long sleeve shirt.
Thought the team looked fine in general. Dunn shooting 6/11 from 3 is insane.
Anyway, I think I like Straw over CB at the 5th starter. Also don’t love Russ/AG combos. I think you can only have one non-shooter out there at a time and our roster construction is kinda tough for how many of those we have. PWat’s return will only make it worse. I think this means we’re going to trade young players for shooters before the end of the year.
We need Nathaniel Hackett back to run the offense.
I get why Malone likes Hunter – great personality and plays really hard…but he sucks. He is some combination of lost and late every possession on defense.
It will be interesting to see if Jamal puts any effort into his offense during the preseason. Looked good on defense, just doesn’t seem interested in trying on the other end right now.
This is most excited ive ever been for an 0-3 preseason. I see whats building up with Russ, Straw, Saric on that bench, and it is pretttyyy — MPJ looking like he’s going to be the 1B option until Jamal stops beign Raymond Felton. We are in desperate need of Pwat’s defense- he needs to set the tone for the bench there
Love Murray’s hair ♥️🇨🇦⛹🏿♂️
I didn’t realize that there was a narrative that strawther and CB were competing for the starting spot?? I thought CB looked pretty good out there. Tough to see how much his offensive game has evolved until the season starts but he looks more confident offensively
Strawther looks better than Braun but i would understand that he would need to come off the bench for spacing on the second unit.
Dario looks like a Jokic lite lol
Strawther looking good. MPJ’s handle actually does seem a little improved? Zeke looking competent against 3rd stringers ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sunglasses)
I know is preseason but damn that Jamal Contract looking so ass
Murray doing bronny impression
0-3 pre season we are so cooked see yall next season 💔💔💔
Reggie Bullock or Justin Holiday would be nice to have instead of Pickett. I think Holiday would just be nice to have instead of whatever minutes Malone is planning to play Hunter for now as well.
Not to burst bubbles but i would not put stock in shooting percentages to evaluate a preseason game. Would rather much look at the quality of shots and how we generated those. Saric really looking good and westbrook. We also created a bunch halfcourt mismatches just by pushing the ball off of rebounds. Jokic, despite huffing and puffing, really seemed to enjoy playing uptempo basketball
I dont expect much from this season. Atleast its gonna be fun watching MPJ ball out again. And ofcourse Jokic. Everything else is inconsistent. I dont put faith in anybody but those two tbh.
Jamal is my favorite player with 16.7 FG%
I get it was against 3rd stringers, but Zeke absolutely balled out. We don’t need to see any more of Hunter, should use the next two games to see if a bench of Russ, Strawther, PWat, Zeke and Saric has potential. Zeke will still be the odd man out when a starter plays with the bench, but Zeke could be create a 2nd unit with a lot of size that is excellent in transition….assuming tonight was not a Zeke mirage.
Haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere in this thread but being at Ball, it was fun seeing Gillespie play against his former team and score some points, there was one possession where he was paired up with AG and they were both visibly smiling as Collin tried to drive to the basket. Wishing Collin the best of luck Phoenix.
I’m done with this team.
The game was awesome. The guys balled out. Yeah it was sloppy, yeah some conditioning needs to happen, but Mike is gonna be an all star and we’re gonna get our second ever championship
I know it’s preseason but goddamn Jamal is just not good. What the hell happened to him.
Jamal for Wendy who says no
Time to trade Jokic and Fire Malone?
Zeke block on Colin was crazy. Bro spiked that shit.
Dam im looking at these numbers and no wonder we lost lol.
3 things that are notable.
1st is the 3 point shooting.
2nd is the free throw shooting.
And 3rd is Jamals play.
Jamal just isnt in shape or rhythm and now its starting to annoy me. Its one thing for Hunter or Dario or Jokic to miss all their 3s, but Jamal missing them all is absurd. Hes the 2nd option and one of th ebest 3 point shooters in the league.
Dunno whats up with him, but hoppe we get back the Jamal we know, cause this team cant afford a regression from him after he just got payed a ton.
Anyway the teams been strugling with their free throws. Missing that many seems absurd tbh and was the difrence maker between winning and lossing this.
Besides that, their 3 point shooting was absurd. Shooting 45% on that volume is dumb.
I know this ain’t a fantasy thread buuut if you had to choose one for ya team would it be CB or Strawther?
Cheers
Jamal Murray made a shot.
Literally. One shot.
It’s time to overreact to this game and trade everyone
I was at the game tonight and the starting 5 looked great, MPJ looks poised, Russ creates good assists and fouls but could of had some better Possessions, I think Murray is just trying not to get stress his body out before the regular season, I think it’s up to zeke, hunter, julian, and vlatko to produce together and that’s why we lost most of our pre games . Zeke actually closed the game great. ITS PRESEASON y’all don’t doom and gloom it more important for the younger guys to get experience than our real roster to play at 100% on a game that doesn’t really matter long term.
