Maz about Queta: “But Neemy’s defensive awareness and execution has grown, and his offensive effectiveness — his screening, his spacing — he’s another guy that takes his role seriously, and it’s fun to watch him.”

still rough around the edges, but great hands and great instincts. Definitely belongs in the league, but not as a starter yet.
great game today

There’s nothing wrong with a traditional big who plays to their strengths. I think it’s easy to forget fundamental centers are playable even in an era where 7’4 aliens can hurl 10 3’s in a game or play point. Gimme a dude who can transition, set a wide screen at the top of the arc, clean up on the glass and throw it back out to one of our 10 guys who can shoot 40% from 3. That’s all I want from Queta and I think he has that in him.

I enjoy the luxury of having Luke, X and Neemy. Upside vs consistency vs price will be their competition.

I think Queta ends up earning a lot of minutes this year.
