Congrats and it makes sense to retire his jersey right now,

Personally I think fans wouldn’t have a problem with his jersey being retired if it was right after Lowry.

  2. gettysburger2

Do they have to choose a team? I wonder if KD will enter as a Warrior.

  3. Goosedukee

I love Vince (and would love for the Nets to have more representation in the Hall) but this is the obvious and arguably correct decision.

  4. NolaBrass

Would’ve been awkward for them to release that leaked dunking Raptor jersey had he announced he was going into the hall not as a raptor lol

  5. Al-4Touchdowns-Bundy

    Grizzlies legend in my heart.

  6. magnetman47

Damn I thought he was going in as a King

I wish he said he would enter as a member of the Magic or Mavericks or Kings or something

    It’d be hilarious

  8. donta5k0kay

kinda cheap considering he quit on them to get traded

should go in as a Net

  9. EaglesXLakers

Didn’t expect that, especially since there’s still a lot of people who hate him in Toronto.

  10. I’m pretty sure the only Hall of Fame where you officially identify as being from a particular team is baseball. This announcement is fairly meaningless as a result.

Makes sense he’s the first, he is intrinsically linked to the Raptors’ history
    Lowry will be second
    Maybe Derozan third

I mean, he is wearing a purple suit and all

That’s how I will always remember him.

Vince paying tribute to the Raptors this way, and Lowry being cool with him, shifts me from tolerance of the Raptors retiring his jersey to accepting it.

If he’d ever apologized for his part (no more, no less) of what went down during his exit and collateral damage to the fans, I could celebrate it.

But I’m cool with accepting it the way it is

happy for him that his career came full circle with toronto.

it all began with missing that shot vs philly in 2001. broke his heart and from then on the team was crap and it became a bad situation.

What is he talking about? That’s a baseball thing because they have a team cap on most of the plaques. There isn’t a single team that a player represents in the basketball hall of fame. The player’s bio lists everyone they played for.

If Raptors didn’t retire his jersey, I bet you he would have done diff

    Lebron going in as what?

A Cavalier? (Most time he spent with a franchise and the team that drafted him.)

A Laker? (Most likely the team he will retire with)

A Heat? (Least time spent, but the MOST success he had in terms of Championships)

I swear raptors fans were just hating on him last post. Idk what the vibe is now.
