Even with those two healthy we’ll be a play in team at best I think

It’s clearly button three. But I’ll still enjoy watching it.

If everything goes right this will be the most fun 35 win season ever

The preseason doesn’t matter. Neither does the start of the season because of the schedule. Any games with injuries are out too. Ditto for first or second games of back-to-backs. Games after trading Jak and/or Bruce are out too. So are Friday games.
Of the remaining games – this team can be a 0.500 team against non-playoff teams.

Top 5 pick baby!!!

This team is just hard to watch when we don’t have BBQ playing together. I just want to see at least one game with IQ, Dick, RJ, SB4 and Jak.

For those wanting a nice natural tank, delaying RJ and IQ return until they are fully healthy, as we start with a gauntlet of a schedule, is a great way to “stack the deck”……. Get healthy for a nice month or two before the deadline to get the team a good sample of competitive basketball, and then deal off Poetel. That’s the script I want to see

Best outcome:
– Scottie plays 60 games, all nba level
– iq and rj play 60 games, at an all star bubble level
– jak plays 60 games
– team is + .500 in the games where all four play
– team is .250 in the games they are not all healthy

This team is not very good right now and that’s okay. Developing players can be very ugly to watch, especially at the beginning. More than half of the roster has never played any meaningful NBA minutes, they’re pretty decimated by injuries (thankfully none of them seem to be too serious) and the main thing to watch this year will be are these guys actually getting better as the game slows down and comes to them.
I think there are much more interesting questions to answer than “Is this team good enough to make the play-in?”
Can Ochai Agbaji develop a consistent 3 point shot?
Is Gradey Dick going to remain a defensive liability? If he does, who starts in his place?
Was what we saw from RJ in 30 games last season and throughout the Olympics forreal?
How does Immanuel Quickley adapt to being the lead guard?
Where in the world does the shooting come from on this team?
Do they get an offer they can’t refuse for some of their vets despite how bad it makes the current product?

Button 3, I’m afraid…

Good news is that a tank year results in something wonderful
