He can't score by himself he has no perimeter shot, no handles to create his own shot. He'll rely mostly on pick n roll and lob pass. But JaRant is ur PG i doubt
Zach Edey is already impressive in preseaon! Look at his stats and let’s forget about that much overrated three point shot! Zach is going to reintroduce the beautiful postup game and then some! I He already has a strong frame and will become stronger and stronger. And yes, this guy is intelligent in many ways. His defensive presence will have an impact.
I can't see him averaging more than 12-14 pts simply because the Grizzlies have a good roster and he'll be the 4th option at best. Ja: 25 – 28 pts Des: 20 – 25 pts Jaren: 16 – 20 pts If Edey can provide even 10pts, 7/8rbs, and 2 blks it'll be a win.
He'll eventually be a 20 – 10 guy. He'll be one of the league leaders in blocks. I could definitely see him having some 25 and 15 seasons. Eventually he'll be a top 2 or 3 center in the league. He's definitely bringing the post game back. Could be Shaq-like with the dunks and the hook shot. I think he'll be incredible
He plays just like Yao Ming, using height and soft touch hook to draw attention, then kick out to shooters if double teamed. And with great free throws, Zach is nuke. In the right system, he could be 20+10+3 and potentially DPOY just like how Rudy did it
he has incredibly good hands for a guy that size…. he will go to the floor for loose balls… great passer as this video points out… Also, he is a good man. He is massive and he could hurt people with an aggressive foul if frustrated and he never has
The Grizz are putting in a new offense too. Basically, Edey hasn't been given many post tries yet. So all his scoring has just been in the flow of the offense
Edey will only get better. Started playing ball at 16. I'm not surprised he's a good passer and physical in the post he played hockey. You have to get into the corners and see the ice so that clearly translates over. He can also pass well as being a baseball player. He only started hooping because of his height couldn't play baseball and hockey anymore but, he's crazy competitive.

He should be top 5 in the draft. fundamental durable big man with good upside

And… Memphis is a playoff team without Edey. With him, Smart, and Kennard, they could go to the 2nd round, maybe even WCF.
