Wow that’s already 15 games guaranteed he doesn’t play this season? So he can only miss another two per season and still qualify for end of season awards.

Honestly, wouldn’t load management work better if instead of not playing back-to-backs, he just played 20mins both games with less of a stress to his body? He’d be able to help his team win both nights and I’m not a sports science specialist but the injury risk could be comparable to playing 40min one night.
Superstars probably don’t do it mainly because it would mess up their averages, but in an ideal world where the most important stat is win counts, that’s what I would pitch for.
