15 pts is what Id expect from a player like him thats solid as long as he can stay active and set screens even build a passing gaming he'll be a solid pairing for Ja and JJJ
Teams today play senseless basketball and that's the only thing that can hold him back from greatness. Just toss the ball inside to the big man and let him work, its not rocket science. Memphis has the highest upside in the NBA with the likes of Edey. JJ and GG and yet they gonna be messing around running a stupid offense for those players.
Love him defensively I feel like he’ll look very similar to Zubac on that end. I would’ve liked it better seeing him call less post touches cause he won’t get that many in the regular season. He can’t be clogging up the paint like that like in 2:14. Would rather much see him play the dunker spot more. Even as a rookie, at the dunker he’s alr providing a lot of gravity there as a very big 7’5” and almost every low man that has to rotate to him will be too small to contain him.
His teammates need to adapt to his presence. It takes certain options away but it opens higher % options up. His defender can't leave him easily plus he seals people opening up drives.
Not gonna lie i hated on dude. I thought he was to slow and uncoordinated to be a productive nba player. Hes surprised me so far. Hope he keeps it up in the regular season.
I said before the draft that Edey will be by far the best player to come out of this class and I will be proven right soon. This idea that low post play doesn't work anymore in the NBA is about to be destroyed.
I love his soft touch. The one thing I would like to see him do more is have a power dunk mentality when he is close to the rim as he continues to develop
