[Benedetto] Michael Malone said today Jamal Murray’s knee started feeling “funny” prior to last night’s game. They figured it was something that would dissipate during the game, but they decided to hold him out of the second half. Murray had big ice bags wrapped around his knees today.

I’m tired boss. Can already envision a solo jokic carry job for a lot of the season to where he’s exhausted by playoffs again. Here’s to hoping that’s not the case

The Nuggets staff know more than me but on the surface level, it doesn’t make sense to have played him at all. Maybe I’m just paranoid, I dunno.

Well we knew it was “something” when he was the only one out

Jamal Murray. Our superstar guard who played on a bad leg in the playoffs last year. The same one who went ahead and played for the Olympics. Who now is in preseason and complaining about a “funny” knee. We’re gonna play him through that because that’s gonna dissipate?!

It’s an 82 game season. And we’re not being cautious with him in the preseason.

    That’s concerning.

Why did they continue playing him? Shouldn’t they have rested him if they saw his state? Insane.

Sit him for the remainder of the preseason. They’ll be fine without him until he’s 100%

  7. I don’t care how much time he misses, get this man healthy for the playoffs.

Glass cannon Murray. Reminds me of some of my character builds in Dark Souls

Sit his ass until January 1st. We don’t need regular season wins. We need him ready and healthy for the playoffs.

The front office going all in on Jamal as a second option was such a dumb move. I get how hard it is to convince yourself to trade him but his contract is quickly going to become one of the biggest albatrosses in the league. I’ve got no clue how much value he would have after being one of the worst players in the postseason and looking god awful for Canada but you had to see if you could find a deal that would still keep a contention window open

This is getting very concerning. Hopefully his lower legs aren’t cooked and we’ve now got our very own version of Kawhi.

Guy has looked rough since April with apparently some undisclosed injuries going on during that time, so we’re up to about six months of poor play and an accumulation of lower leg injuries. Really he’s been hurt off and on for about a year since this all started last November with the hamstring pull (which led to shin splints, multiple ankle sprains, the calf injury, and whatever has been going on with him since).

I think his wallet was feeling kind of funny as well from being overstuffed, making his legs weaker, carrying that extra payload. If you are getting paid a kings salary, your legs will do what they get paid to do. We don’t need another Kawhi Leonard, why you kawhing ?

I would have Jamal sit until all star break. Westbrook is enough

Good thing they have him a max before the season started. God Booth and coaching staff sucks

Well that explains why he had no lift on his jumpers. Hopefully they are just being extra cautious, but definitely not what we want to hear a week before the season starts.
