“Andrew Wiggins has recovered from illness but is still rounding into conditioning. He won’t play Sunday vs. Detroit, per Warriors coach Steve Kerr, but is expected return Tuesday vs. Lakers.”
Steve Kerr On Andrew Wiggins:
“To me, I’ve already told him: six 3-pointers a game. He is a really good 3-point shooter. It was down a little bit last year, but since he’s been here, 39, 40 percent. I want a lot of 3s and I want a lot of attacks to the rim. He shot 80-plus percent from the foul line in the second half of the year last year. He looks really comfortable in every aspect of the game. And let’s face it, with Klay gone, we need him to step up and be our second scorer after Steph, and we know he’s perfectly capable of that.”

Y. Wiggins could be considered a #2 option. There's so many weapons in this team, I was excited about the new moves they made this offseason.
Of course I'm happy with the preseason start. But it's only the preseason. No need to start crowning them.
Takeaway – I was right (and if you look back at my many comments in the past few months) – the Warriors have a good team as long as they have a healthy Curry and Dray stays on the court, they'll be fine. The team also has a better rhythm without Thompson. 5-0 last season, I keep reminding everyone.

Did you miss the 21_22 season, he is definitely a 2 scorer, if he starts as good as he played at the end of last season. Wiggins can play ball

It's preseason!!! And I've watched every game and I personally don't think come playoff time they will able to compete. Too small. Mike Dunleavy didn't do anything special in my opinion. They need a Big!!

Wiggs is not good news.. looks like his best days were 2022.. has no fire for the game. Money is not a motivator. 2 years with family troubles, father died, wife troubles? How should he show up ahead of ANYBODY. He should be in a 3 man trade [Dray, Loon and Wiggs] for another real 7 footer.
He had one bad year.. which was last year…he averaged 17.1 that half of season..stop the cap…and his scoring numbers dipped when klay came back…so again stop the cap

Nobody doesn't feel for a guy losing his dad and having personal issues. WE ALL deal with those things though. Meanwhile Wiggins is paid HANDSOMELY and the Warriors these last two years have tons of other human beings relying on all of them to try to win again with Curry and Dray.
The whole point is SURE, in extreme cases fellow human beings in ANY job should be given some time off to deal with extreme personal issues. But even that is being better than most of us ever get. Most of the time you get SOME time off but not loosely as much as you want (which makes spoiled generations who think this is all just dandy to ASK in the first place think this is all nice and positive when it's just being spoiled and ruining things…and the team HAS TO be fine with it or THEY seem mean thanks to this modern virtue signal to any sense of empathy time we're in.)
Do young people start to see you've been brainwashed to absurd levels of openmindedness? It isn't "mean" to think Wiggins has been CODDLED by modern times. And the NBA is one of the worst in all this.
Not to mention Andrew Wiggins has always usually sucked only to have one good year just in time to get paid only to suck again (or in our case suck and then not come in to play for months two seasons in a row.)
He isn't a heady player or one with much drive. Every now and then he brings it for awhile (and then all the positive pete modern fans who've been brainwashed to reward a guy for ONE good year every four, pay him big time again, only to watch him sure enough SUCK again for us for two hugely important years…only for EVERYONE to not only defend this, but to then lecture you and talk down to you as if saying this makes you a bad person when we said at the time he was like this and not to re-sign him. Especially with JK not having room.)
Again, we ALL feel for a man losing his dad. OK? You've been brainwashed. Andrew gets PAID. They have half the year OFF. His teammates NEED HIM. TWO YEARS in a row he can't focus and play ball due to his issues WE ALL go through. YOU guys cannot take that kind of time off, nobody cares for your personal issues, yet here you are VIRTUE SIGNALLING to this Wiggins situation and he makes more on ONE of his days off than you make in a quarter of the year or more?
Wiggins has been spoiled the last two years and all of you just cannot wrap your minds around how indicative this all is of why things are getting worse, not better due to all the good intentions. There is this pesky thing called INTEGRITY and mental toughness, and holding people to realistic standards and not babying and coddling.
Wiggins has to be traded cos we are tired of his never ending excuses for almost 3 seasons now. I’m sick and tired of hearing these flimsy excuses and pampering.

If our team is good on defense, we’ll be towards the top of the conference. Yes we lost Klay but we added a bunch of depth and improved 3 point shooting.
