  1. The NBA cup needs to have real consequences, such as playoff bonuses (idk what that would look like, perhaps a team that’s not the 1 seed could be guaranteed home court advantage or something) or it will always be a joke of an event.

  2. Embiid does his own load management – being "injured" for games @ Bos, MIA, DEN and every team with even a semi-decent Center … thats 10+ games right there … i am waiting for his crying for MvP and DPOY to start @ january at the latest

  3. So let me get this straight. The 76ers want to load manage the entire season and then once the post season starts they expect him to play 40-45 mins the playoffs. How does that even work. This is gonna be a disaster.

  4. Bontemps takes are actually horrendous… “all 3 of Bucks, Sixers, Knicks could be in the play in” … so does he have the bulls and hawks in? Is the guy okay?

  5. This effusive Celtic love is weird to me.
Here's a team that underachieved (choked?) year in and year out when they went against the top teams in the playoffs. Then, they get a total cakewalk of a postseason Miami (without Butler), Cleveland, Indiana and Dallas – none of whom figured to get out of the second round and suddenly we're comparing them with the Russell/Cousy Bird/McHale Celtics of old.
The Celtics never got a chance to pull their usual Brown / Tatum choke job in last year's playoffs.

We need to pump the brakes a little here. Also, we're talking about injuries. Porzingis, who is a vital piece of this team is scheduled to miss the first half of the season, and, when he comes back will he be the usual crippled Porzingis after an injury. That's not mentioned when droning on about possible injuries to the other squads.

Between the beyond easy playoff run and Porzingis's fragility, where does all of this everyone else is battling for second place in the East nonsense come from?

  6. What is wrong with playing the Celtics in the second IF they are the number one seed. Because it’s not a guaranteed. These guys love to talk like people are trying to dodge other team. If you can beat a team it doesn’t matter when you play them

  7. I still don’t understand why DEN has been portrayed as this juggernaut with little to no flaws the past couple years the had on great postseason run when they play 3 injured play-in teams

  8. Load management was scientifically proven not to work. What are we even talking about?

  9. The Plan will be to let Embiid chase individual records to the detriment of the chances of winning a title until he is wrescked for again, and then do that again , then go full rebuild, hire a guy to rebuild and then fire him just before plan is complete

  10. Please stop comparing this current Sixers team w/ 2019 Raps team. They are not even close. First off Kawhi was coming off playing 9 gms the previous season. Raps has a much better & deeper supporting casts, hence why when Klaw left they were able to win more gms & was a fg away from getting back to the ECF. Sixers don't have the same medical staff, Alex Mackhenie.

  11. To be honest I have no big concern about Embiid injury keeping him from playing anymore let the superstar play he did it last season against the Knicks with back to back 30pt games on 1 foot 76ers going to surprise

  12. Back in the 1980s and '90s when I was covering the Clippers then the Lakers, the West Coast NBA teams would have these 5-games-in-7-nights East Coast trips in January or February. Talk about grueling and ridiculous schedules. Especially for the beat writers who were traveling on their own, not on the team charters. Great show as always. Cheers.

  13. My Prediction: Joel Embiid will be thrown in prison during the 2024-2025 Season for injuring other NBA players and for generally being a thug. He will not end this year on the 76ers. He will be waived once incarcerated.

  14. If Embiid is incapable of playing back to backs and this plan is in place for him to make it through the post-season, then this will backfire in spectacular fashion. The NBA playoff schedule is infinitely more physically grueling than the occasional back to back. What they should do is cut his minutes to about 20-25 mpg instead.

  15. Still don't understand how Bontemps gets so much air time when he sounds like his nose is always completely plugged up.

  16. If a team commit two three hundred million dollars to a player for five years, the only thing during this time conditioning is the most important thing, it's the players responsibility to be available for every game, there's life after sports…..don't forget to vote…………..💙💙💙

  17. The NBA association has a lot of UNDECLARED money through federal customs. Cryptocurrency and BITCOIN are UNDECLARED money

  18. I can tell you for a fact that the Spurs GM is not filling it out and probably dumping it on an assistant

  19. European soccer cup competitions are separate from league format, games do not overlap and format is unique for the competition – until the nba does something similar the NBA cup is completely irrelevant and will be treated as glorified 82 games by teams players and fans
