I have 2 tickets to the Warriors Open Practice on Wed at 5:30PM. Amazing seats along the courtside (Section 4 Row 2A). I unfortunately can't make it so hoping to give away to another Warriors fan. Want to make it a little bit fun: comment with who you think was the best player we picked up (draft, signing, trade, etc) this offseason and why (doesn't need to be long). Most upvotes by end of day today I'll DM with ticket details.
Event details:
Open Practice begins at 5:30PM with a special Q&A with Bob Fitzgerald and General Manager Mike Dunleavy, followed by a short workout, new player introductions and more!

My vote would have to be Melton! Brings defense that we lacked with the loss of Klay or what he used to bring and also a good courtside veteran presence to set up along with Steph’s offense. Will probably get the most starts this season along with Steph! Runner up probably Buddy since he is a 3 point king behind Steph!
Don’t want the tickets as I live in West Virginia, but wanted to say adding Hield will hopefully be huge to give Curry help with scoring.
I do agree Melton was a fantastic signing, but I’m more of an offensive minded guy
I am loving Lindy Waters and his 3 point shooting! He seems like an all around great guy and brings good energy to the team.
I’m gonna go with SloMo! He had some eye issues last year and his shot was a little interesting but now our coaching staff has worked on his shot and it looks much more fluid than his time with the Wolves. Excited to see what he can bring to the team, low risk high reward.
I think Buddy was the best pick up this off season. Excited to see him excel in the 6th man role!
Buddy Hield. Because he literally did a pirouette three pointer with 10s on the shot clock and made it.
rationally: de’anthony melton, absolutely. he’s a beautifully capable player on both ends of the court — pesky defender, high-level three ball, and decent handles! his connection with trayce is already impressing me too.
but in my heart: lindy waters iii — i have to admit that i’m high-key obsessed w him for reasons i cannot fully describe. his vibe is just supreme.
would be extremely honored to sit court-side and see our boys up close!!
I’ll take it in an Addition by Subtraction direction: letting Klay Thompson go had to be done. The vibes had gone sour and the play had gone stale. Opening up minutes for Hield, Melton, Podz & (hopefully) Moody is going to be fun
Melton: he has the championship defense that Warriors basketball requires and Klay lost which made Klay expendable. Sitting courtside would make my year.
I’ve always enjoyed Slowmos game and I don’t think people realize how vital he was in stretches for the timbs for his high iq and defense even. Great pickup.
I’ve been wanting Kyle Anderson on the Warriors for a long time. Dude just fits our system to a tee, is a good leader, has great basketball IQ. Very similar game to Boris Diaw on the Spurs, and will be a great backup for Draymond. He can bring the ball up the court and facilitate. He worked on his shot this off-season so the work ethic is there.
For me, its Buddy Hield, more like Buddy Field Goal! His shooting range is so deep, he could probably make a 3-pointer from the parking lot. 🏀🎯#LongRangeLegend
I think Buddy was the best pickup — obv nobody can replace Klay’s presence on the team, but I think Buddy can really hit his max potential with our coaching staff and working w/ Steph. We’ve seen some of it in preseason, and I think he’ll hit new highs this season
adding hield is the perfect player to replace klay. i want to see him and podz work like a turned down version of steph and klay
I’d have to say Hield. While he’s horrific on defense, we just need his shooting off the bench. He can be our Jamaal Crawford or Malik Monk.
Something to ignite the scoring when Curry sits. Buddy shoots volumes and that gives our slashers way more room to operate
Slo mo brings great size and stability to our bench, and buddy will be a great volume shooter that we desperately needed last year, but De’anthony Melton is the answer here. He’s the perfect kind of Warrior player – plays great defense, has great feel, and shoots very well. I love Klay, but Melton will be a huge upgrade in the starting 5. The only question mark is his health, but Rick Celebrini is great at dealing with chronic back injuries, so fingers crossed that isn’t an issue this year.
I want to see my favorite player, Klay Thompson
I think Terry Stotts will be a huge pick up. I think his offensive style meshes really well with motion offense Kerr runs. It will be nice to add another dimension to this offense since our guys arent as young anymore.
Buddy Hield
I think buddy hield for sure. his elite 3 point shooting perfectly compliments the warriors style of play. as much as i hate to say it, he is a great person to fill in the shoes of prime klay while we still have steph and draymond competing at a high level.
Probably Kyle Anderson. Good IQ connector piece and will be good with the second unit. Hopefully he can be good all year round!
Buuuddyyyyyyy
Second most threes in the league behind Steph over the last five years. Dude can flat out score. How do you replace one of the best shooters of all time….
Reece Beekman. But not for what people may think. This was about a week before training camp. He sat down next to me at Cheesecake Factory and ordered a pasta without some toppings. He also ordered a moscow mule and got asked for ID. He was alone and watched videos on his phone the whole time. Definitely a chill dude and I thought it was funny he decided to eat at Cheesecake on a Wednesday night.
Lindsey Waters 3 easily. Waters for splash, 3 for 3 pointers, and Lindsey for dynasty (kinda close). Therefore we will win championships this year.
Buddy Hield because: Splash Buddies 🙌🏻💦 that’s it

Having the top 2 shooters in the league rn reminds me of the good ole days with klay. Has to be buddy
Can I cheat and say Moses Moody? He’s obviously not new, but it’s looking like Kerr is actually going to play him this season based on what we’ve seen so far. He can be a great 3 and D player who always hustles on the perimeter that can match up on anyone.
Melton if he don’t get injured.
Any player with positive energy.
