Posted the picture earlier but here’s the crowd giving him a standing ovation.

Dick Barnett spent decades fighting to have his legendary Tennessee A&I teams recognized by the Basketball Hall of Fame for their 3peat national championship victories in the NAIA, a league they were forced to play in due to discrimination in having their school accepted into the NCAA tournament. Barnett won Tournament MVP in both 1958 and 1959 before becoming one of the key pieces of the Knicks franchise turnaround and two championships in the 70s. Many of the players and the coach from that team have passed away over the years, but Tennessee A&I were accepted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2019. Barnett did a documentary on that journey with PBS titled [The Dream Whisperer.](https://www.pbs.org/video/the-dream-whisperer-aCN580/)
On Sunday at the age of 88, Barnett was finally recognized as an individual player and entered into the Hall of Fame. Made sure to show off his fall back baby jumper to the crowd too.

I shed a tear. My dad loved him as a Knick, he always said “Fall Back Baby” should be in the HoF. Pops died in 2015. I’m glad his guy got in
