It’s about time!
The 85 lakers had Magic, Cooper, Wilkes, Worthy, McAdoo, and Kareem. Thats 6 Hall of Famers. That team was also highly motivated after losing to the Celtics in the finals the previous season. How is that team not in the GOAT team conversation with the 1996 Bulls and 2017 Warriors?

So happy Michael Cooper is in the Hall of Fame. My favorite memory? 1985 NBA championship game 2. After the disappointing 1984 loss and the Memorial Day Massacre in game 1, Coop hit key jump shots in game 2 to help the Lakers win. On most other NBA teams Coop would have averaged 20 ppg. Congrats Coop!

I pick Coop over Vince for the starting lineup mainly because of his DEFENSE. And with Dirk as my main scorer, I need defense more than offense. And with Vince as my second main scorer on the bench, our offensive firepower will never go out the entire game. For Pat Riley, Coop was the GOAT of perimeter defenders. And he's a swiss army knife. He can catch and shoot 3s… and with Kidd and Joker, Coop-a-Loop is still doable. I'm not saying this team is unbeatable. But I can say for sure that this team can beat any team you can imagine. 🔥 And with Coop, scoring against this team will be SUPER TOUGH.
Being from New Mexico it was great to see my favourite showtime player get into the HOF. So deserved for a great player and an even better man. Congratulations Coop!
