The New York Knicks Are Finally About To Break NBA Expectations

The NBA season is about to begin. Preseason has been great so far and one of the most intriguing teams has been the New York Knicks. After trading for Karl Anthony Towns, the Knicks now have a co-star to pair with Jalen Brunson. Although the Knicks had to give up Julius Randle and Donte Divincenzo to the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Kat and Brunson tandem together with their core of OG Anunoby, Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart could form a strong starting lineup that could rival the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference. But does Karl-Anthony Towns really change the trajectory of the Knicks as championship contenders and how do they match against teams like the Cavs, Bucks, and Sixers in the East?
Not a lot of teams have a pick and roll tandem who is so good offensively like Jalen Brunson and Kat. Coach Thibodeau now finally has a lineup that can score with the best teams while also playing top-level NBA defense. The Knicks lost Isaiah Hartenstein while Mitchell Robinson is also expected to be out for a while. Kat is expected to change everything for the New York Knicks but does he really make them legitimate contenders?
Will the Knicks actually surprise the NBA by winning a championship with their new roster? Leon Rose and the Knicks front office have built a solid roster but still has questions about its depth. The Knicks can still make a trade for another player to solidify their championship campaign but they have maxed out their payroll and they have very few draft assets left after the Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby and Karl Anthony Towns trades. Although this is not the same New York Knicks trade you usually see. This is actually a bet for the franchise to win an NBA title.
