    Regardless of whether it's preseason games or who they play against, Nets victories are always, psychologically, a good thing. There's more incentive for the coaching staff, veterans, and new players Marks acquired this year to give their best, than for anyone giving less than 100% effort. Some decisions will have to be made in the course of the season. Some should be made immediately but kept quiet until an appropriate time. One of those decisions should be to let Simmons, Schroder, and Bogdanovic contracts expire and not renew either. Another would be to delay re-newing Cam Thomas's contract until after the trade deadline the upcoming season.

    Honestly this is what I would like to see from Ben (shut up and play ). I may raise an eyebrow if he returns to form in his contract year… I need to see it all year though, and depending on what he asking for sign him to something respectable based on games played, due to history.
