Is Klay Thompson washed?
When you go 0-10 in your last playoff game then start your preseason 3-18 you have to wonder. When the shot goes it goes all at once.

OMax shot 1/2 from 3, plays outstanding defense, yet people still want THJ I mean Klay's 0/9 and 0/6 from 3? Lol, going to be a LONG year watching Klay
The good news is instead of Josh Green and THJ/DJJ we have Grimes/OMax. Bad news is we have Klay and it'll of course take dumb as rocks Kidd the ENTIRE year to play Grimes/OMax instead of the others.
I don’t want to be a downer but I think it’s going to be a really long season with Klay. Oh wait, 3 seasons.
I miss Djj.. solid young defensive player who will continue get better this season. Now we have a 35 yr old streaky shooter who doesn’t play good defense and needs Luka or Kyrie on the floor to even play well.
Guys can we at least give Klay a few full games with Kyrie and Luka before freaking tf out?
Warriors fans have been telling us over and over again for months that he starts seasons off super slow even in his prime.
We knew that he was washed. Still remember that on the season he was 18 PPG on 39% from 3 last year while THJ was 14 PPG on 35% from 3. Just let it play out.
Kidd certainly has a massive headache on his hands though because I’m expecting Naji and QG to be fighting for the starting spot by halfway through the season.
There is only one reigning Western Conference Champion and they got better. Klay Thompson, Quentin Grimes, and Naji Marshall define much better.

I really shouldn't be surprised, but it's always frustrating when people start freaking out over preseason results. Klay is going to have bad games. That's no different from literally any other streak shooter in NBA history. But he's going to have plenty of good to great games as well. Either way, the Mavs season doesn't hinge on his performance. That's the entire point of having a deep roster. And even if he plays absolutely terribly he's still going to massively improve our spacing because he's Klay freaking Thompson. Regardless of how his season numbers look teams are going to respect him.
If the nuggets play a 50 win team in the playoffs the nuggets always crumble
Mavs got better, if Klay is Hardaway's replacement at 6th Man and Grimes, or Exum eventually, starts at 2/SG.
Kyrie needs a defensive back-court mate like Jones or Green were last yr. This is the key to the Mavs season imo.
Its just a matter of how long Kidd let's the experiment go on, as to who wins that job.

I think Knicks got better than any other team in the NBA. Hart, Bridges and Anunobi are your 2, 3 & 4. JB/KAT are scoring scoring 1 & 5. A good formula to beat Celtics imo.
