Kat didn't play to his size in the Dallas series. Randle will give them that presence in the paint. Kat is the overall better player
Minnesota was the top defensive team in the league last season. Only thing they lacked was offense. They have a lot of depth now but trading Kat they have to start over

I've never seen Randle have aggressive energy with anyone besides the refs and his own teammates/coaches/fans. He's not an enforcer.
Randle and KAT have shot threes and free throws at a very similar rate over the last 5 years. The difference is KAT is a much better three point shooter and a much better free throw shooter.
KAT wrestled Embiid to the ground the last time Embiid tried rough stuff with him. KAT has shown he'll step up to the villain. Randle and Embiid are actually good buddies.
KAT didn't respond to Draymond choking Rudy as aggressively as I would have liked, but he was the main one attempting to intervene. It's the modern NBA, none of these guys are legitimate tough guys aside from James Johnson and maybe Draymond.
KAT will be fine and Gil will be eating his words soon enough.
