  1. I realized that Jalen avoids attacking the rim against teams with good centers and shoots only 3pointers from a safe distance. He avoids physical contact all the time. His loses his motivation when the opponent is physical. That may be one of the causes of his unreliability.

  2. As a team, we have to get our work in early this season. Rack up as many wins that we can get in the first 20 games because our schedule on the road during December is no joke.

I like the way our defense has been looking at the start of the game, but we need to sustain that focus for more than a quarter if we're going to survive on the road.

Jalen was the standout player for me this game. Like you said earlier, he seemed to let the game come to him this time. He played more like SGA does at times — where he doesn't appear to be hunting his shots, just facilitating the offense. Then he sneakily finishes the half with 15 points. I'm hoping this is the floor for Jalen Green. I know we all would like to see him be a more efficient scorer, but if that doesn't pan out; then he has to be everything else. Kobe was also an inefficient chucker (44.7 FG% for his career), but he averaged about 5 assists per game, 5 rebounds per game, played great defense, and HE HIT HIS FREE THROWS!! Jalen will leave 4-5 points on the table at the charity stripe. Same with Cam and Bari.
