Too low?

I don’t think that’s too low. 35th puts him at borderline all star level player, which sounds about right.

he has the potential to go higher, but based on what we have seen so far, it’s fair.

This list is terrible, Herb Jones is 97

Toronto has bet on Barnes….for what!? The suspense is killing me!!!

  4. attainwealthswiftly

He only became an all-star due to injury replacement so it makes sense.

Im happy with 35th spot considering many analysts jumped off the Barnes hype train after the 3pt shot regressed around new years. Im really digging his quick pull up jumper in pre-season & personally don’t think the improvement in his outside shooting was fake. If both those things holds up and he becomes a more dangerous scorer in the PnR hes going to rise a lot, especially if there isnt a drop off in defense. I mean the player im describing is ridiculously good, i might be delusional who knows lol, might take a few seasons. Either way im happy with it

  6. If you look at all the players ahead of him its not too bad

    Wembanyama at 11 is stupid

I think they got his ranking just about right. Had he played the entire season maybe he would be a little higher, but he missed a big chunk of it so there’s that to consider.

He should be at 32. I believe coming into this season he’s better than Rudy, Lauri and Chet

Edit: Barnes is a 4th quarter stud being 2nd in plus/minus behind Giannis. He’s a huge difference maker and you can all see how intense he gets during late game stages and how bad he wants to win.

  9. TopShelfTrees4

Seems about right for Scottie but that list is definitely messed up imho

Too low considering the players ESPN put ahead of him, it would not be unreasonable at all to put him in the 20-30 range.

This season, his chance to become a consensus top 30 players in the league. Hope he wants it because if he wants it, it’ll happen.

  12. Brief-Career

All-NBA is the first 15 best players, he’s getting pretty close — this is pretty fair.

Accurate ranking. I could see him rising to top 25 next year.

Then, they guaranteed all-star reserve/starter in the following year if the raptors are competitive

    After 3rd season

    Scottie Barnes: 19.9ppg 8.2reb 6.1ast

    Giannis: 16.9ppg 7.7reb 4.3ast

Take it with a grain of salt but stay optimistic.

  15. roundhousekix

That’s fair. Hopefully he moves up into the 20’s this season

  16. Prize_Examination572

Hes closer to 30 than people know, thats cuz we all actually watch raptors games…

Barnes and Dick = new Stockton and Malone……iykyk

  18. thegoddessunicorn

I think this one is fair but this is ESPN and their annual rankings are just 🗑️

  19. BigMost8851

I think 35 is fair. Hoping by the end of the season he’s in the top 20

You guys seen the Ringer list that just came out? Scottie @ 40, Barrett @ 84, Quickley @ 87 (compared to 35, 53 and 64 respectively).

  21. BuzzBuzzBadBoys

That’s insanely high to me. Good for Scottie but I’ll leave him off my fantasy team for now.

  22. Annual_Plant5172

It’s a subjective ranking that has zero impact in the real world. Why do people care so much?
