i agree with your point, but the article claims there are 11 guys better, not 12

  2. tarikkisija

Every espn article is rage bait these days

  3. Alt-F-THIS

ESPN and hating any NY team, name a more iconic duo

  4. Fishmike52

KAT was 20 last year… he’s 30 this year. Hmmmmm

  5. DarkstarToElPaso

It’s ESPN, they’re more concerned with name value and clicks than correct takes. That said, I don’t think 12 is a terrible spot for him, he’s still a lot less proven than most of the guys ahead of him. Another season like last year + some more playoff success and he’s easily top 10 come next year’s list.

  6. LifeIsPeachy725

The fact we have 3 players in the top 50 is still music to my ears! The ranking itself I take with a grain of salt.

  7. Swift_42690

Dude he’s ranked over guys like Devin booker, Jaylen Brown who just won finals mvp and AD, which even as a big Knick homer, is a little questionable. So no disrespect to him, being a top 12 player in the league is a very strong compliment. KAT should be ranked higher I agree.

  8. Chr1s678

I personally would rank Brunson higher but I think 12 is fair. KAT disrespect is crazy though. I always thought he was a little overrated but there’s no doubt he’s a top 15 player in the league

This isn’t a “who’s the best player you’d want in Game 7 of the Finals” ranking. It’s a ranking of who is going to have the best season. Brunson was a top 5 MVP candidate last year and earned a spot in the top 10. I have him 7th after Jokic, Giannis, Luka, SGA, Embiid, Tatum. I’m surprised people here think that 12 is a fair ranking.

  10. Goobyzord

I’d rather be slept on than overhyped. LFG Knicks

  11. Saucy_Totchie

Again, yall need to stop getting some worked up about ESPN posting BS. It’s obvious rage bait and they do it for engagement.

  12. PineappleTraveler

Top 5 in MVP voting, but there are 11 better players… that is some ESPN logic right there

  13. Jojo_thejojo

Why is being the considered the 12th best player in probably the most talented era considered a bad thing? especially being 32nd a year ago

  14. GambinoSZN

ESPN’s articles are put out to drive in clicks. Every year they find ways to stir up rage by disrespecting some guys. Herb Jones being 97 is a prime example

  15. beeryee34

I love Brunson but 12 is fair. We need to stop overrating our own guys. A 6 foot point guard being ranked the 12th best player in the league is a great compliment. It’s fair to say there are 11 player better than Brunson in the NBA. Are all of those 11 players a better fit for our team than Brunson is? No, and that’s what we need to differentiate.

  16. Productpusher

You fans need to remember the CA and NY markets are like this always filled with hate .

Going to be a long year if you can’t handle it now

  17. firstbreathOOC

Yall they’re cockroaches who keep doing this because we view and share and argue which equals $$. Don’t give them attention

  18. Mattmsk001

You guys are insane this ranking is very generous and fair. How is it enjoyable to have this insane of a bias

  19. SeaworthinessSome454

#12 makes a lot of sense for Brunson. He doesn’t have a long track record of being great like the others do and he’s a small point guard that’s not valuable defensively

  20. This guy was second team All NBA last season. By definition of that alone, he should be in the top 10. There are no young guns that will make the leap above him. This is BS

  21. Helpful_Chard2659

Trying to see if there are actually 12 guys better than Brunson.

    In no particular order:
    – Jokic
    – Giannis
    – Embiid (I know I know, I hate Embiid too)
    – Tatum
    – Doncic
    – SGA
    – Curry
    – Lebron maybe
    – ANT
    – Durant.

I don’t think anyone would put Brunson over these guys. Brunson at 12 is kinda fair actually. He’s 11 or 12. To put it to perspective, Brunson is above PG13, Jimmy Butler, maybe Booker (I think Brunson should be above Booker), Maxey, Haliburton, Lillard, Brown, and many other great players. KAT is kinda high at 30.

  22. jackgulla

Feel like Brunson at 12 is a good fair spot for him

  23. ShawshankException

Yall need to realize that this is exactly what ESPN wants from you. Stop giving them attention.

These lists are made to get clicks. They mean absolutely nothing.

  24. LeftyMode

It’s ESPN. Remember the preseason rankings.

  25. BlueHundred

He’s top 10, but I’d have him as high as like 8th or so. 12th isn’t that big of a slight to me, especially since it’s ESPN. Their lists are terrible every year.

KAT getting ranked lower than last season despite having one of his best seasons in years makes no sense though.

  26. Kennymo95

I think you could make the case for :
    1. Jokic
    2. Doncic
    3. Giannis
    4. SGA
    5. Edwards
    6. KD
    7. Tatum
    8. Embiid
    9. Curry
    10. Lebron

Not saying I agree with that top 10 but it’s realistic

Wemby > Brunson is premature but not crazy for Brunson to be in the 10-12 range rn

  27. Pablo_Undercover

Tbh think 12 is about right, there’s arguably 11 better guys than him …. But wtf is Wemby doing at number 11 that shit is egregious

  28. mydrumluck

ESPN is just a content farming company with Disney money at this point. Best to ignore them.

  29. Jtizzle1231

Well let’s see in the top 10 you got

    Embiid
    Joker
    Greek
    Bron
    KD
    Tatum
    Luka
    Ant
    Steph
    Shai

Seems to me like 12 is the best JB van do.

  30. We have 5 guys (our starters) in the top 62…. I think the only other team that tops that is Boston.

  31. chrissw86

It’s ESPN….. Knicks for clicks is literally on their paychecks….. Did you see the championship odds…. Houston has more of a chance than us🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

  32. This list is actually very Knicks friendly, probably since Chris Herring wrote a lot of it. Hart, RJ, Mitch, Quick, mikal are all pretty high and I hear other fanbases complaining about a Knicks bias on this list

  33. the media still isnt comfortable putting jalen over legacy stars like steph, lebron,kd.
