Not ready to go there at all. Schemes take time to implement and the effort in back to back games has been badly wanting. The effort looked much better against Phoenix and the results were much better.

There are some things that need tweaking within the offense but that’s normal.

Make sure y’all keep that same energy for JJ Reddick that y’all had for Darvin Ham last season.

Austin and DLOs roles are rough. Austin isn’t a great movement shooter and is better situated for high pick and roll where he can get down hill. DLO isn’t handling the ball enough so he’s being passive when he gets the ball.

It will be a way different year. Trust. Finals win? Who knows. Likely not. But we will believe there’s a chance which is fun. And not believe in such a sick and suffering way that I had with Ham at times out of pure delusion and sadness. Like oh they maybe could do it.

  6. They should just let Cranjis be the coach. That mfer knows how to fix everything.

Give it time. Ham got it for his “scheme”.

  8. Sweeping judgements about a new system after a couple pre season games is beyond stupid.

Schemes, mate they haven’t done anything the last 2 games. Just what they did last season. Standing around doing nothing.

Wasn’t he all in love with the new scheme like 2 games ago?

Is this guy ever happy? I would love to see this guy be given the coaching role for a month to see him just completely shit the bed.

Serious question who is this guy and why should I care about his opinion?

  14. LebronsPinkyToe

I gave Ham a year before labeling him dogshit and I’ll do the same with Redick

Man. I swear Cranjis just be saying shit and people just repeat it like it’s fact. It’s his opinion, and half the time, his opinion comes from a very biased place. He doesn’t account for real-life variance, and his analysis is based on a fantasy perfect scenario perspective. He doesn’t understand the relationship between personnel limitations, player potential vs. player actual performance, and playcalling, as well as he pretends to.

The truth is 4 of our 5 starters are some of the worst defenders in the league at their positions. This is why we struggled. The offense has nothing to do with it. We will never score enough points to cover up for this fact. We need a rotation overhaul. We need Vando back and at least 1 guard who con reliably defend at POA.

This is one of the guys who still talks about Austin Reaves as if he is going to turn into Larry Bird if only the coach would run the right plays for him. Lakers’ Film room does the same thing. 30-minute segments about unlocking one-dimensional role players.

  16. I know Cranjis is some darling on here but I’m just beginning to like him less and less. He’s just coming across as this “I’m the smartest guy in the room so I’m always right” attitude. Don’t forget he saw Darvin Ham as being some great hiring which in his words showed the organization moving in a positive direction. I guess what I’m trying to say is who the fuck knows. Let’s just wait and see how the team actually plays when the games actually matter before making those sweeping generalized statements.
