While Shamet also sustained a dislocated shoulder, it is not the exact same injury as the shoulder dislocation that Julius Randle sustained. Randle's shoulder dislocation was caused by a high-impact fall to the ground, thus causing not just a dislocation of his shoulder, but also significant damage requiring surgery. Shamet's shoulder dislocation was not from a fall…it was a freak injury where his shoulder popped out when he grabbed for the ball on the defensive end. His injury shouldn't require any surgery or much rehab….but he'll be out of action for a few weeks.

Wouldn’t worry. Knicks FO always find good pickups. Shamet injury sounds serious like Randles. Could be out till 2025. Maybe he comes back by playoff time
