Stephon Castle has seen significant minutes this preseason, and with that extended run has come legitimate playmaking flashes.

  1. Great commentary on Castle. Even when he has a bad shooting night, like he did against Miami, Castle still gets to the line (take notes Devin!), still impacts the game and somehow was also part of the lineup that nearly came back to snag the W at the end. Very insightful on that upfake as I totally missed that detail, so kudos for highlighting it. Even Castle's TOs tend to be the good kind, slight misreads or from drawing heavy action in traffic — they're not the unforced errors of reckless moves or silly mistakes or careless passes. Gonna be a real solid piece for the team and one of the few players on the roster with some genuine winning in his DNA.

  2. Great commentary! It's cool that someone notices the little things. I hope that the RoY voters can remember the little things and not everything on the box score.

  3. Just by being a good defender he can feel what the defense is a)giving him, b)going to do and go from that by instinct. If he develops a 3 (which might be the case given his pre season and overall FT%) he can be a solid playmaking 2, or 1 if Vasell stays. Perennial 15/4/7 guy with good defense and decent efficiency, mark my words.

  4. Be easy, mate.

CP3 contract is 1year private tutoring by the best master we can get

Watch this way, how we can use last years of CP3

  5. I know you've had your doubts about how Castle might translate as a PG in the NBA but I'm glad to see you acknowledge the bright spots he's shown. He's definitely got potential but that jumper is the true key to unlock everything.

  6. We won't see his true playmaking or scoring skills until the Spurs get proper spacing. Still, I think if he were to be playing 30mpg he could average around 5-6 AST with this squad which is excellent for a rookie.

  7. as a primary ball handler, which he currently isn't; I could see him averaging a healthy amount of assists in his future.
