Warriors rotation, imminent roster moves + extension deadline for Kuminga and Moody

The Golden State Warriors have one more preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday — what should the starting lineup and bench look like, and who will be unlucky to miss out given the roster depth?

Plus, the roster moves we could potentially see immediately after Friday’s game, and the latest on potential extensions for Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody just days out from the deadline.

  1. They could take what looks like a disadvantage and make it an advantage. Prepare two line ups, some core players in both and the remainders on and off, resting every other game with more focused game preps because those players will have more time to study and prepare for the specific opponent…

  2. Quinten Post has looked rough. What do you think about Tristan Vukcevic on the Washington Wizards. 7ft sniper, mobile, BBIQ, and still on a 2-way contract. We could acquire him for maybe only one second round pick and waive Beekman to open up a 2-way spot. Vukcevic is burried behind Jonas, Sarr, Bagley over there in Washington. Seems low risk, high reward move. Instead of hoping Post turns into a serviceable NBA stretch 5, we would have two 7fts battling for stretch 5 role with the warriors. May the best player win. I really hope the warriors acquire him, he was played well last two months of the season. Go check out his highlights and tell me what you think.

  3. I don't see Dray playing 18 mins at the five. Why would Dray play any minutes at the five when TJD and Loon are both available?

  4. Kerr on Moody, "He's a rotational player."
Also Kerr, "One of the hardest thing to do is tell a rotational player that you don't have minutes for them."

  5. 11:42 "How do you work that all out?" Defensive matchups. On nights you can get away with it defensively, you play Hield more for the shooting. When a perimeter defender is the bigger need, then Moody plays more or GP2 gets some. Or both.

I know they say it’s gonna be a 10 man rotation, but we have 12 guys that deserve to play. When I see the commentary that suggests some guys who should play are going to have to sit, I think about the fact that Steph and Draymond should get the occasional night off. And we can kinda go small or big, so some nights when matchups allow we might feature another perimeter guy instead of TJD. Probably Moody. We'll have a main 10 man rotation, but 12 guys are going to end up playing. GP2 and Loon will have nights where they log zero minutes, but a lot of nights they will play. And of course this is all before losing guys in the rotation to injury enters the equation. So even Waters will get minutes here and there, though hopefully not too much since if he's playing it means someone is hurt or in a bad slump.

  6. congrats bro keep at it!!! following from the Dominican Republic… too bad i just recently found this channel… great content with great takes….

  7. Steph Moody wiggins JK Draymond , Bench : podz buddy melton kyle TJD. Draymond (25 min) per game

  8. JK has earned the three, Dray 4, TJD has earned the 5..Steph 1….. that leaves the two as the biggest question mark. Please just play the best player here, play the guy who has earned it. In my mind Moody.. rotate in the other players. Wiggs should be a bench player! It’s high time! Those 5 above all need 28-32 minutes a game. They have earned those minutes. They need to make a trade and get rid of some of that duplication on the roster. You can’t have 12 players 6 of which play shooting guard/small forward!!
