Can't beat it.
Brad is trying to move Springer to clear a spot.
I really don’t think that final preseason game meant anything.
To make the roster? No Lonnie made the team and now they are looking to make room for him.. he can play terribly the next few scrimmages and still be on for the season
Can Schiermann be traded yet?
A 10 PPG scorer at 38% from 3. Cannot fathom why you think they would waive him. Makes literally no sense. Scheier, Walsch and Peterson all are much less experienced and totally unproven NBA players. Walker will be on the active roster.
Lonnie had a great last game because he had to prove nothing at that point. He already made the team and will get nice minutes along with Pritchard. We should be jumping with champagne at this point….
Why "FOR NOW" in the title?
We need to keep Lonnie he a bucket
It's baffling that Lonnie Walker is still in this situation. The Celtics would be foolish to let him slip through their fingers.
There is room. LW4 could take the 15th spot.
Lonnie Walker is a tough one.. His offensive ability is NBA level. At 6'4" or 6'5" he and Springer are essentially competing for the same role. Springer the better defender, Walker the scorer.. Long season, so having Walker start in Maine makes sense. Being able to plug his skill set in at the 2 if they get an injury is a luxury. I agree that trading Springer is the better play, with Pritchard playing as confidently as he has, getting better each year, Springer's role is somewhat redundant – despite the different skillset.
Springer played the least out of every guaranteed contract player and even less than some 2way guys. Unless he's injured, I think they're trying to move him, otherwise why not cut Lonnie with the other E10s?
hes keeper for a trade later down the year at the very least.
