There was speculation before the draft that the Hawks might take him with the #1 overall pick, and it looks like maybe Atlanta should have done that. But as a Blazer fan I’m happy he fell to #7
He will compliment Ayton well coming off the bench. He will be good in spurts, but teams would put him in the pick-and-roll on the perimeter and he'd be stuffed. Plus, it helps that the Jazz don't have a stretch 5, so he could camp in the paint.
I'm not going to act like the Suns are a competent team when it comes to making trades, but this kid proves why Phoenix was willing to move Ayton. There isn't a lot about DeAndre that is special and he plays soft. Clingan should be starting and Ayton should get moved again.
