“When Dunleavy laid out the blueprint to Curry and Green, Utah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen wasn’t Plan B. He was a subsection of Plan A. The Warriors wanted both wings — believing George’s opt-out threat would allow them to protect the required assets to entice Utah Jazz CEO Danny Ainge, and Markkanen’s reasonable $18 million returning salary could make the financials work. If George had been in tow, perhaps the Warriors would’ve unloaded everything left in the cupboard for Markkanen — all the first-rounders, second-rounders, swaps and young players the Jazz requested. Contention would’ve been a reasonable expectation.”

I wanted Markannen but I am glad neither trade happened. PG is great but not durable, same for Markannen. JK and Wiggins imo need to be at least one of the other scorers. Moody has played the best since the last game of last season. If Kuminga can get a defensive and rebound midrange mindset consistently then he’s in the large bag conversation, so I semi agree with not extending but the risk of a trade is at least not good for team chemistry.

N. we wont have depth. PG13 hurt often so the Warriors dodged a bullet, great player but cant stay healthy for an entire year. Also, superteams doesn't always work like 80% of the time. Only casuals like to build teams that way, they play video game basketball and think that it will work throwing all stars together in one team and expect Championships.
Pg said that the trade didnt go through because they held off so long on resigning him and wanted to pay him less than kahwi. He said by the time they started offering him the same deal as they did kahwi his name was already in trade talks with gs. So he said hell sign the kahwi deal but there has to be a no trade clause so that you guys dont just sign me and trade me somewhere when i can probably make more and just go wherever i want to go. So they said no to the no trade so he didnt resign. Wasnt that the clippers was playing hard ball and didnt want to do the trade, it sounds like they did but pg didnt want to.

I'm so glad this trade for Paul George never happened. I can't believe how many overpaid idiots in the media actually think this was a good trade for the Warriors.
Kuminga got wrong ppl around him, rather be humble as a young player, he is fed with hot air and surrendered with ppl who only wanted to make $$ off of him and not necessarily best for his future

Moody Melton Hield& Even Poz, the newbies on the team, each can😊 score, 15-20 points a nite if they're given the chance in an entire game!! Not to mention Wiggins who can also do that!!! So the trade for George wouldn't made sense anyway!!! MARKENNAN for draft picks,i would have done!! But notfor the "store" to leave us High And Dry!!! No !!! We can get a center from the NY.KNICKS since they traded for KAT!! Robinson or for that 22yr.old German, Ariel, H.!! And with Kuminga its going to be an either / or situation!!!! Glad NOT to have George. Emptying the young cupboard and all the draft picks for an ancient and expensive George and Markannen? No, and no again. Markannen alone for Podz and Wiggins plus two draft picks? Yes.
TjD will be the starting center. Moody will play a lot this season. It's partly dependent on whether Wiggins shows up.

Naw I think our starters will be solid and we need a strong bench. That is where the warriors have suffered the last couple of years. I always think we should have let the young guys play to assess their value to the team. If we had gotten both and PG suffered that injury it would be a wasted opportunity. I think most of the roster is good enough and have made improvements to be a contender. If we stay healthy and Dray don't get any suspensions, I think we can get to conference finals for sure. Salary top heavy teams usually don't do well anyways and we need some young explosive energy off the bench. Laura Mark. don't move the needle much and neither do PG to be blunt. Boston is still considered the best team out and we need a deep and talented bench to get to the promised land
