Shams on Knicks:
– I will say they are scouring the market right now. They’re looking, they have roster decisions. They have to make at least two signings within the first couple weeks of the NBA season. They’re looking at a bunch of veteran players right now in the marketplace. When you look at it, Landry Shammet dislocates his shoulder and you need some shooting, you need some guys that can play. So they are looking into all the players that are available. And when you think about guys like Lonnie Walker and Justin Holiday, there are multiple players out there. We’re still digging, we’re still trying to figure out exactly who the Knicks are prioritizing, but I will say they are actively looking into potentially finding that shooter, that wing player that they can, they can sign at some point this season.
– I’m told one player that they have serious interest in signing at that point. Matt Ryan free agent sharpshooter 67 shooter. He spent time with the Lakers, the Celtics, the Timberwolves most recently, the Pelicans, he shot 45% from three last year for the Pelicans.

Fred Katz explained the problem the Knicks have signing Walker. He has the same agent as Shamet. If there is any other team he can get Walker to sign with, he will.
the knicks shot 55% and higher shooting percentage than the Celtics and they need more shooting? They lost because they could not guard the 3 pt line and they could not rebound. That is what they needed. They needed Mitch Robinson (could have used Precious Achiuwa) on the pick and roll. No drop coverage just left Tatum and the Celtics wide open like practice shots… no one near them, not even worried about a foul.
Walker would be a better pick out the 3 and would be a better fit.
