A lot of people are freaking out about the first Knicks lost like please will you get for real is just the first game and big deal if it was a blow out, I watch the game from the start on TNT I feel there is no reason to panic at least not yet I feel a good reason to be optimistic as long as this team stays healthy throughout this year and next year the Knicks have a legitimated chance of reaching the finals and you could take that to the bank. 💪✌💪Lets go Knicks and do some ass kicking 🥳🥳🥳

Same old issue, our guys are mismatched all over except KAT. When you lose a 6'9" Julius with 24 ppg. and 10 reb, per game you lose height and defense. Then, replace the PF with a small forward it's just ridiculous. Get height, please !!
100% agree with your take Marshall hart needs to come off the bench he looked lost in the offense deuce needs to start he fits the role Donte played last season perfectly plays scrappy defense and knocks down shots also other observations bridges needs to lose the reworked jumper and go back to the way he shot before don’t understand the need for the reworked jumper when he was shooting 38% + over the last few seasons also bridges and OG also didn’t look comfortable in the offense based off their shot selections

Ppl need to stop over reacting they shot 60 3's at almost 50% it happ happens it was there night they are champs this is are first game with new lineup we beat them by 30 it happens we lack size and time playing together we will fix it PPL IT'S 1GAME. NEED TIME TOGETHER.

Trade Hart for Derrick White lol
Josh Hart looks like he is intentionally protesting the Donte DiVincenzo trade. Something is not right in the locker room and Thibs needs to address it. Bench Hart and tell JB to pass the ball occasionally to McBride. This group of players doesn't look comfortable playing with each other, and they don't seem like they are having fun. Donte may have hinted at a rift in the organization. Too many egos. Could it be salary envy?

I didn't like the trade but we made changes to every position except Jalen Brunson. Also you're playing the defending champions with their best player playing with a chip on his shoulder. Tatum is pissed off after the Olympics. We all need to take a chill pill. Relax people.
The major one is get rid of this bum coach
Brunson actually had a bad game. He is the team's PG. He had 2 assists and 4 turnovers. He was chased off the 3 point line and had to settle for 2s, in which he was taking a beating, while Boston was getting 3s. On defense he was useless, constantly picked on. Never in position to get Boston to foul him.
Boston will take this Brunson every game and whip us every time. Meanwhile the pick and roll with KAT was non existent. Kat almost disappear in spite of shooting well. He only took 9 shots and a few foul shots. He was being guarded by a guard he had to foul that defense out of existence. Knicks never committed to punishing the Celtics inside.
Hart cannot start, he is being ignored on Def. His only offense was drives to the basket. Playing 4 against 5 makes playing the 3 point line easy. Of course Bridges first half non shooting made it even easier.
What happen to Bridges defense? 1 basket made is not enough for OG. Someone should remind OG that he is the power forward now and has to also rebound. Maybe even doing some rim protecting. How is the bigger and stronger OG not covering a red hot Tatum? Bridges should have been on the smaller Brown. Bridges defense was so bad I would have had Hart cover Brown and leave Bridges on White. You have to take away something on Defense. The Celtics got any shot they wanted.
KAT cannot abandon the 3 point line on picks. What happen to an occasional double teaming with Kat? KAT is not that slow. In fact he is as fast as either Mitch or Ihart. His primary defense problem is an tendency to play defense with his hands which leads to stupid fouls.
If the knicks really wanted to emulate the Celtics, they have to go full 5 3pt shooters in the starting lineup. Hart's 4 rebounds, 1 on the offense glass makes him irrelevant on offense. He can't rim protect. And his 1 on 1 defense is simply not good enough against talents like Tatum and Brown.
Maybe when Precious gets back, starting makes more sense to implement a typical Thibs team. KAT's rim protection is average at best. Precious is simply able to do far more rebounding then Hart can do.
I prefer Mcbride. Our offense would be in Boston's class. Deuce is also a far better 3 point line defender then Hart. He is also strong enough and with a good wing span to at least compete on the inside.
Thibs is the biggest problem. He never changes his defense scheme. Every other good coach throws out a zone or full court press, etc… as a change of pace when the standard defense is sucking so bad. AT least to cover for horrible individual defense.
On Offense it is even worse. Thibs is stuck to a ball hog scheme. Granted JB is the best at this game, but modern NBA offense are 3 seconds, pass , drive or shoot paradigms. Boston took away JB 3 pointers as well as his passing on drives. They brilliantly let JB flop scoring 2 points which takes a toll on his health, while confident of getting a 3 at the other end. Trading a 2 pointer for a 3 pointer is insane. Yet Thibs made no adjustments. If it were not for a great and totally wasted individual performance by Duce, the Knicks would have lost by over 40 points.

Extremely concerned for 1 reason. Thibs does not make changes he’s not forced to make. That was his best shot and he got blown out!
10 very concerned this season is not about getting into the playoffs it is about getting past Boston. This coach makes no adjustments. 1 kind of offense and defense. He is strictly a effort coach. Modern NBA offenses are 3 seconds long, pass, drive or shoot. Thibs runs a ball hog offense first under Randle then JB. While JB is the best ball hogger in the NBA, but he is not Micheal Jordan. He cannot win a title all by himself. he had 2 assists and 4 turnovers against the Celtics, while Kat only took 9 shots. Kat was looking good, but was ignored by JB or double team by who ever was ignoring Hart at the time. All those flops take a toll on JB as well.
If Kat was to be stuck to the basket why not play the zone? It would at least cut the distance on the rotations. Boston could not be more open playing 5 on 4. The crazy thing was that we still got killed on the boards, with Kat back there
Basically the game was the Knicks covering the basket leaving the 3 point line open. And ignoring Hart on offense. Hart is not the only one who does not know what Thibs wants from him. Force him to grow a three point shot. I get a feeling that Hart can shoot the 3. He gets stretches of time in which he shoot great. What is it not practicing enough? Confidence Thibs should bench him if he continues to refuse to shoot the open threes.
Starting Deuce make the Knicks a better offense then Boston. It also improve the defense against 3 point shots.

Wrong marshal Duce won’t get enough touches
Simms is there to rebound, block shots, play defense. He did his job. Knicks have no one now that Precious is injured to replace him. You are not playing a rookie against the World champs.
I don't understand what people have against Simms. If he sucks on offense its because Thibs has not developed him. Mitch has no offense either and he has been here for years.
Complaining about your leading defender, rebounder and shot blocker is rather stupid. Particularly at 2 million dollars a year. You should be furious at the performance OG put out at 220 million a year,, both on defense and even worse on offense. It is easy to pick on the quiet and polite kid.
Also claiming that JB had a good game is even more idiotic. Pgs are not supposed to get only 2 assists and 4 turnovers. 1 pick and roll to a hot KAT is terrible PG play. You made a great point of Thibs only playing JB and Kat together for 5 minutes.
This is a dumb coach, no in game adjustments. He is an effort coach. If they lose its always the players not putting out enough effort
