C- grade on a guy who got the first triple double of the NBA while also getting pentadoubled when everyone else SUCKED, Jamal murray should be ashamed and i would grade him G- the worst possible grade, a criminal grade.
I get the point that two years ago they laid a similar egg against Utah, but last night felt different, and that’s what concerns me. It’s demoralizing that Denver, from top to bottom, are not as good as OKC. OKC far clears them. So aside from major injuries , there’s no way Denver can beat them in the playoffs.
Worse still, last nights game feels like the rule this season & not the exception. Hope to heck I’m wrong. But when your alleged “second best player “ looks to be an overpaid bum, just that alone doesn’t give me optimism for this year.

The Nuggets ownership and GM are not on the same page as Malone. Malone doesn't want to play young guys, so the GM stocks the team with young guys. SMH so if you're going youth movement then Malone is not your guy to coach. The Nuggets slammed the window shut on themselves that is the frustrating part. The horrible off-season and while everyone in the West got better, but we got worse. Jokic may leave if we can't field a championship level team. I fear the window is closed and the Nuggets shut the window themselves, sad.
Not sure why Adam gave my superchat shit clowning Booth’s horrific two draft picks reaching on Pickett and Hunter Tyson (which everyone thought at the time) instead of Trayce Jackson Davis (who was projected to be drafted 25-35 as a 1st team all American with insane per game stats/analytics who is also son of Pacers tough guy dope tough guy who was consistent 10 & 10 with 2 stocks guy with good defense in his 6-7 yr prime) & GG Jackson (who was #1 HS player in his class) who at one point was projected to be a top10-15 pick.
I didn’t name two random dudes who happened to play well I named a top3-5 player in college basketball in 2023-24 Trayce Jackson Davis who averaged
21, 11, 4, on 58% FG% for Indiana University (power 5 conference) after averaging 19, 9, 2 his previous 2 yrs before that. 6’9” 250, great genes, great analytics his senior year. Obviously you don’t always love seniors who are 23, but they drafted 4yr guys Pickett & Tyson who weren’t the 4yr all time college players TJD was + didn’t have the genetics. Very few players ever avg 20+, 10+, 4+ like TJD did in 23-24. He can’t shoot well which was a fair concern, but he did everything else well.
GG Jackson was immature and def shot too much at South Carolina, but that team/situation was a dumpster🔥and he was still less then 12 months before the draft #1 in his class (granted not the best class).
Obviously the draft is an art not a science, but me saying Nuggets (and my Pacers) both passing on TJD & GG Jackson was 2-3x each before they went late first to mid 2nd is something I yelled during the draft and the whole year after (we moronically reached on Mojave King who hasn’t stepped foot in NBA & then Isiah Wong who at least was a good senior at Miami but not close to TJD all around production + genetics or GG Jackson upside).
I literally had Superchat on here saying those were 2 guys I hope nuggets and my pacers target! I’ve been wrong before too (like everyone. I thought Jimmer would be closer to Nash type or at worst Lou Williams and didn’t think Deron Williams would be as good as he was).😅
Hope I'm wrong but I felt Nuggets were finished the moment they gave Jamal that extension. It's funny that Jamal and Porter have the same salary as SGA, it's about 36 mil/year so Jamal was already overpaid but his new contract is insanity.
Need to sign Lonnie Walker and then trade for a guy like Grant Williams imo
I swear, if Jokic took a break for one season, Denver would be the worst team in the entire NBA, both West and East. I wish he would leave Denver. What idiots, they had never won anything before Jokic, and instead of going all-in while Nikola is in his prime, they surround him with below-average players. The man almost beat NBA superstars on his own in Paris with an average Serbian team.
