Couldnt find any defensive clips from this season yet!
They’ve been dominant even when they can’t hit a shot
22nd ranked offense and they are still dominating that's crazy. Nice video 👍
It's crazy they're playing mediocre offense if you look at the percentages but still winning games by double digits plus. Relentless comes to mind. They never quit, never play with their head down. It helps they have talent the level of Shai, Chet, an emerging J-Dub. But thats only half the story. Maybe even less. The team is deep, and the defense? So far you can't ask for much more. They just have so many guys that can disrupt an opponent at any given time. It's one thing to have one guard or wing that can reliably get you a few deflections and a couple of steals and blocks a game. But when you have four or five and more of those guys? And they're also lockdown 1 on 1? That's nuts. They can switch, at least a couple can reliably guard 1-4, and they're a nightmare on the perimeter. Good luck getting an uncontested 3 from this defense. Chances are you're going to feel some kind of pressure on your shot. If you're open? You better shoot it fast because someone will soon be in your face. Some thought "Why did they get Caruso? They already have guys like him?" Well in today's NBA you can't have too many guys like him within reason. You're right…he's a luxury piece, a cherry on top. It's obvious how they plan to use him already. 20-24 minutes a game, 100% defensive energy. Caruso can score 0 points every game and still get his minutes. He has 5 points in three games and no one cares. Because the Thunder didn't bring him in to score. They know he's a career 7ppg guy. If the Thunder lose a game by 9 points and Alex scored 6 no one is ever going to say "If only AC scored a few more points we'd have won!" If you didn't have him, and others like him? You probably lose by 15 or 20. And you can ask the Nuggets, Bulls, and Hawks about that. They know all about it😏
