February 21, 1988 – Detroit Pistons guard Isiah Thomas finished with 42 points (15-of-27 shooting) and 10 assists in a mid-season NBA Finals preview against the Los Angeles Lakers. Four months later, Isiah Thomas would drop 43 points in Game 6 against L.A.. However, in both instances, it was the Lakers who’d emerge victorious.

as a bulls fan i hated the bad boys pistons in real time, but looking back from the present i recognize them as a fire ass team
Isiah had a great season in 1987-88, they should have won, the man literally did it all… wish he never got hurt in '88 or '91, Detroit could have had 4 in a row.
Watching those fast break stats showing the Pistons outscoring the Lakers comes to prove the versatility and power of that allegedly "defensive" team. Leaning their basketball in defensive duties, often overshadow their offensive prowess and talent.
And people choose Curry over Zeke WTF…
