They must have decided he’s starting this year. I can’t see them paying a good6th man franchise player money and not having him close games.

Im okay with this. Im a little higher on herro than others but i agree this is a big contract. If he ends up taking another step… great.

If not, then pat riley has a track record of fixing his bets if they dont pan out.

anyone said it’s going to look really good with the new tv deal yet or should i

  4. Oh ok. Not an overlay. Only 30m a year guaranteed

  5. This makes me feel better about the RJ extension

  6. ButtVader

Should be reversed, $10m guaranteed with $120m in incentives

For clarity, Incentives effect the cap just the same as guaranteed money, all it changes is it may save the owner some money?

The Heat drinking their own cool-aid again, ending up with contracts like Robinson or this one.

This guy cant produce against good defensive teams

at that point just give him the 10 what are we doing

  11. 30 mill might still be a bit of an overpay but I think Herro is much better than the consensus right now, just because he left a bad taste/didn’t even play in the closing games of the ECF.

He’s a good basketball player and basically the motor of that Miami offense.

Can’t believe he got a bigger contract than Barrett (107M guaranteed out of 120M/4y)

There are three outcomes, either he solidifies himself as a key piece and is worth the money, shows improvement and more potential and we trade him for someone with a similar salary but better performance and less potential, or we waste 4 years having to overpay him. It obviously isn’t as black and white irl and that last option is pretty scary but its a risk we have to take. I guarantee if we don’t think he is going to be a key piece down the stretch and other teams are interested in him as a tank commander or think he has potential we will trade him. He will be much easier to trade now because we don’t have to mix in Duncan/Lowry to match salaries

Why is there a Bills mafia flag in the thumbnail?

  15. MIA does a lot of things similar liek SA but they skipped the overpaying part. but isnt cap going mega up? so 2 years from now if herro keeps form itll look like a decent contract no?

Heat really love their guys. I mean it’s nice to an extent since your team has an identity and something the fans can root for.

But it gets to a point where it’s harming your ability to be competitive. Paying guys that are not good enough to offset them being liabilities is a recipe for disaster.

And Miami have two of them on the roster lmao.

Actually crying bc no way Poole takes less than this now

  18. HotdogIsaSandwitch

He got 13 more mil than RJ Barret, guaranteed.

Makes me wonder if Poole is saying he’s worth even more, after seeing Herro get this.
