AD can't be hurt when it counts. Although it's still next year, it's a fair measuring stick for the team's chances this time around (along with better effort than last season).

I still don't understand. Pacers are saying they will trade Hield and Turner for 2 1st round picks. Assuming that's true, why wouldn't the Lakers pull the trigger on this trade.
1) The Lakers are not a contender given their current construction
2) The Lakers have never built through the draft, why would they start now?
3) It doesn't make any sense to squander the present (and LeBron's last few years) for the possibility of the future. How many draft picks fail to convert into stars in the NBA?
It makes zero sense to keep Westbrook (what's the definition of Insanity?) and think the Lakers have a shot. With Hield and Turner, I think they have a real chance at a championship. I can't say that with their current squad (even though I love some of the new additions).

Genetically AD's body may not allow him to play healthy for even close to an entire season. His career has been plagued by injuries, freakish or not. Very much like Bynum.

thanks for the great videos! i would have done the deal. i think westbrook is going to implode just like last year; he is not going to be part of a championship team. it's nothing against him personally; i just think he's incapable of change. i like hield and turner; i would have given up both firsts to get this deal done and get both guys into training camp so they could gel w/ lebron and ad. those four plus pat bev and kendrick nunn make for a very interesting roster. could still use more depth.
