I know this sounds a bit ambitious but for me, right now, he reminds me of a slightly lesser Kristaps Porzingiz. He is a threat on all three levels offensively, he has some solid early fundamentals defensively, and unfortunately, he has questions about his physical health at this early stage, just like Porzingiz.
Now, I'm not saying he will end up being what Kristaps was, especially to this warriors roster, but the early comparisons are most definitely there.
I feel like Baldwin has always to me been a (potentially) being a better version of MPJ, first in HS ranked top 5 in the country, the draft both had a injury that dropped their stock, both are 6’10 wing scorers, both have some similarities to the KD’s of the world with the body and skill set combination and even their nicknames “PBJ” “MPJ” and as a GSW fan Im happy we got him late 🤷🏽♂️
I think he can be like Kristaps Porzingis and can be used better. He seems like he can be used in a big way for the team and show why he was a huge steal in the draft. His height and shooting can help him out a lot.
Poor Mac, he worked his a** off for a spot.
PBJ is a lengthy wing that can shoot the ball. I think his floor comparison is familiar to Warriors fans as he has the skills to be like Otto Porter Jr. They are both big wings that play mostly in the perimeter. I am high with PBJ so I think his ceiling can be a border line all star or maybe an all star someday. I see a Danny Granger in him and hoping that he’ll get to that level.
Me personally I would love see McClung on the Lakers with the James and Anthony they can use him
Imagine if PBJ in year 2 or 3 rounds out and takes a huge leap like Poole and is a legit star in the making, he reminds me of a kd type player, 6' 10 shooter with decent handles. Let's be real Kd had the most success in his career playing next to steph, klay and draymond, I'm not saying PBJ will be kd but with his game and height he is going to be a major factor.
Down the road we will have a starting lineup of Poole, Moody, kuminga, PBJ and Wiseman with Lester, Ryan, looney and Gui coming off the bench. They can all shoot, drive and defend (poole will get better defensively) if Wiggins stays with us the he starts and PBJ comes off the bench.
KAT is the first thing that comes to mind lengthy post scorer that has an amazing outside shooting stroke and if defensive potential if they develop him properly and GSW is the only team as of late that I can trust to develop him. Draymond is he stays will be a perfect fit for his defense along with Kuminga and Wiggins defensive potential right along side him now that’s scary
