  1. Sharpe hasn’t even hit a shot and he’s already the GOAT

  2. SonOfSalem

Good crunch time experience for that unit.

  3. J_Bagels

I’ve never been more excited over an airball 3pt attempt.

  4. Ace12773

I have such blue balls I just wanted to see one sharpe YAM

  5. PoppaTarts

Sharpe needs to work on his shot selection but he’s so raw I’m not concerned. Walker impresses me literally every game man.

  6. TheMustySeagul

Everyone looking at Sharpe from this game and loving his “hustle” and “aggressive D” is completely missing the point. He is playing against end of bench and is struggling. He has the tools but oh my does he look fucking rough. Missing rotations, looking lost, taking awful shots, and having Jabari Walker tell him where he needs to be is not a good look. He looked bad. Walker looked miles ahead of him. That shit is straight copium. I hope Sharpe pans out. But he is not anywhere near even a rotation level player at this point.

Edit: someone explain exactly what’s wrong with your 57th pick outplayed your 7th pick and how that makes Sharpe the goat and I’ll listen. Explained away all the bad rotations, the bad shot selection, the ballwatching, him being out of position and not even looking engaged untill he had the ball in his hands 4 plus times. Explain why he had no plays drawn up for him. Explain the missed cuts from the corner multiple times. Who cares if he hasn’t played in front of a crowd in 1 1/2 years. You don’t just forget how to play. He might have been shook but don’t just give excuses. Criticize, give some decent feedback and actually evaluate his play. No one is doing that and it’s frustrating as fuck. It’s a small sample but as of tonight, he looked awful.

  7. Surprisingly Sharpe’s defence is what I loved from this game. Also my goodness can he jump – holy shitballs!

  8. allaboutthatpace

Really think we push for the 6th seed and are out of the play-in team tier this year. I think there were tons to be excited about from tonight.

  9. Damezang

Grant and Hart looked great. Dame knocking off that rust and looks ready to come back in prime mode. Nurk looks solid and in shape. Simons will find his shot. So excited about our young guys. Keon looking insane. Jabari is on fire. Sharpe is gonna be so special. Nas is going to dominate. This team is so much fun to watch.

  10. Frito_Pendejo_

If you could combine Sharps talent and Jabaris BBIQ….

  11. kim_jong_trill

Ant actually looking like he can play solid on-ball D and Dame looking like he has his first step back was good enough for me. Josh Hart and Jerami Grant looking like perfect fits has me hype af.

Everything Shaedon does looks good, even his airball at the end was a beaut, somehow

  12. redwheelbarrow_

they really need to involve Shaedon lol but damn Jabari already making a statement. Also good to see Dame back

  13. Mobile_Gas_9826

Blazer basketball is back. Looks like we got a fun season ahead of us.

  14. duhbreez

wanted to see Watford play and bwilliams not .

  15. nimbly118

Keon already looks a lot better after one offseason with the team. Shaedon may not be ready yet, but one year of NBA-level training might be all it takes to take this kid to the moon. He’s got the ‘it’ factor

  16. LargeSpoon

It wouldn’t be r/ripcity if we didn’t all crowd in here to overreact to a preseason game

  17. Almond_bongbong_1995

Hope Sharpe gets more mins and shots tmr’s game

  18. Mackin-N-Cheese

Wasn’t able to watch. Not really worried about shooting, but how’s Dame moving? Does that first step look good?

  19. cesarmob17

Keon is him nd he needs rotation minutes at some point

  20. sard0nyx

Sharpe looks way better than Ant ever did as a rookie. People were ready to ship him off after one year. I don’t get the complaints. We didn’t draft an instant superstar

  21. clumsy_aerialist

I’d like to see Nas in the starting line up next preseason game. Just to see if he brings more than he did this game.

  22. jason90210

Brandon Williams is looking less and less deserving of that two way spot.

  23. Frito_Pendejo_

Do you guys realize what Sharpe just did?

This was Sharps first full game since HS.

Yes, he missed a lot of stuff, dudes 19 and has not played a game of basketball since HS and now is holding his own in an NBA preseason game, with players that have done nothing BUT play basketball games for a paycheck for months or years.

The simple fact that this was his first game since HS and was able to hold his ground against players like these, “end of the bench” players, means that, yes it will take time, but Sharp IS that freak.

That thing that CANNOT be taught, and I don’t think/hope Dame will teach him the simple things that he does not know about the game.

    Amazing future.

  24. Walker is good enough to be in the rotation and his spacing and size might make him a better fit with that second unit than Winslow. That unit could really use spacing/shooters

  25. PDXbarb84

Why was Watford out? Anyone know why he didn’t see the floor?

  26. Jabari is rotation material. He has moved ahead of Brown.

  27. Maleficent_Archer221

Great minutes from everyone. Defense looked all around much better and offense will start clicking and didn’t seem worrisome.

Anybody know why Trendon didn’t get minutes tonight?

  28. batangbronse

Was it just me or Eubanks was decent? Idk must’ve been not really paying attention.

  29. shelvino

I already penciled Clippers as the favorites this year and the number 1 seed easy. I am actually pretty happy with a lot of the performances we got tonight. Grant, Hart, Winslow all looked really solid on both ends and I love their athleticism and versatility on offense. Dame looked like he is ready to go it’s just tough when he has so many big athletes keyed in on him. I thought Simons added strength was shown off but he was still getting picked up but I think our horrible defensive schemes did him no favors. The constant switching was so bad so I hope we don’t continue that. Payton will be a huge help this year. Sharpe length and athleticism gives him a real edge on defense. Terrific athlete but he doesn’t try TOO hard like someone like Brown (who had some fun moments!) Walker continued right where he left off in my opinion. The 2 2022 rookies will be really fun to watch all year! I thought Nas and Keon were pretty disappointing but this game means nothing as it’s just a glorified scrimmage for the Seattle fans. Happy we got a lot of our real players but we can’t take much out this game.

    RIP CITY

  30. I liked that Sharpe didnt get bullied out there, and he looked like he had improved a lot since summer league. Also Walker looks very playable. If Walker can be a solid 2-way forward that would be huge for this roster.
