The Golden State Warriors may have found another draft gem in Patrick Baldwin Jr.
The rookie forward scored 12 points and grabbed six rebounds in Sunday’s 104-95 win over the Washington Wizards in their second preseason matchup in Japan. Active on both ends of the floor, Baldwin also added a steal and a block, flashing the type of talent that made him a 5-star recruit coming out of high school.
The performance earned effusive praise from Warriors coach Steve Kerr.

He is off to a great start. He has all the physicals and IQ. I just need to hear that he works as hard as Jordan Poole and Moody. If so, he is a steal no doubt. Warriors don't bad mouth players but will trade them after 2.5 years if they see something that they don't like. They did it with Eric Paschall, Damian Jones, and Evan Jones. Look at Paschall. He was All rookie team, then they traded after year 2. Poole was considered a bust after year 1. But they like his work ethic.
I really can’t help but be amazed at how Bob Myers and the front office are able to snatch and develop great players! I won’t be surprised if they win back to back championships. Let’s go DUBS! 🎉🎉
