Lakers should only give up a max of 1 pick if they do it. Indiana in the long run still wins because they don’t have to re-sign Westbrook and will have plenty of cap space to do what they want after tanking this year. Lakers shouldn’t care about one pick because LA is a well desired place to play by a lot of the players especially after LeBron retires, Lakers won’t have a hard time attracting stars

They’d be a better contender for the next 2 years at least. They will regret it over the next 10 years if they don’t win a ring.
On the flip side, if you’re getting 5-10 years more of AD, Turner, Hield and either LeBron or some other max free agent to come in, not a horrible place to be, but the future just becomes more and more compromised with each move they make it seems.
Rob continues to create poor experimental rosters and Buss Co signs. Past mistakes are Past. Buss and advisors can't move on to a win now mode. Teams like Clippers and Warriors have front offices that continue to improve and impress. LAL is wasting the contracts of LBJ and AD by not putting the right pieces around them to win a chip. Purple and Gold fanbase deserves better.
