Joe Mazzulla Provides Robert Williams Injury Update | Celtics Practice



Joe Mazzulla said Robert Williams is in film sessions, shooting free throws and getting treatment as he progresses almost two weeks removed from left knee surgery. He’s expected to miss 8-12 weeks after the cleanup procedure and one his possible replacements, Luke Kornet, continued to walk around the facility working out as he also progresses back from ankle injury. Mazzulla also discussed training camp invite Noah Vonleh as a possible option in the front court and Al Horford’s help in the leadership role.

  2. I would rest him until New Years at this point with the exception of the Christmas Day game!! Just ease him in there get his feet wet to see how he feels. Then keep ramping up the practice being ready to hit the ground running as a complete team January 1st, 2023.!!!

  3. All things considered, I think we got a good thing here with Joe being our head coach. The players rave about his intensity & preparation.

  4. Dude looks like he's in something for sure! Really wide eyed, twitchy, all over the place like he can't stay still and then sniffling quite a bit at the start

  5. Just wondering why they wait until the preseason starts to get the knee surgery?

  6. If Joe can hold the players to a high standard, keep accountability, and keep them focused on getting better everyday and not staying complacent, we’re gonna be fine.
