Seems super-unlikely, unless the government grants him a requirement exemption (which, hey, given the connection between Trudeau and Masai, is possible).
I remember when Bonner was trying to get his Canadian citizenship, it was basically impossible to meet the residency requirements unless you were living in Canada through the offseason to offset time away from the country during the season. Plus the requirements are based on X days living in Canada over the past 5 years, so the Tampa season and shortened seasons makes it even less likely.
